Excellent location

We have stayed here on 3 occasions now and have had a fabulous stay each time.   We especially like the fact that if you wish you can find enough to entertain you within walking distance to enjoy a weekend where we can both relax, wine and dine without moving the car an inch.

Storm Katie Aftermath

We were due to stay at Tewkesbury as an overnight stop en route to the South West the day after Storm Katie hit the UK over Easter. On the morning of our arrival we were called by one of the wardens to inform us that the site was on flood alert and there was a high likelihood that it would be evacuated. We were given the choice of cancelling or going ahead with the booking. We decided to stay with the booking and arrived on site mid-afternoon. We were greeted by extremely friendly and helpful wardens who ensured that we were aware of the evacuation procedure and we were given an evacuation plan. We were also directed to the least water logged pitches and advised how to park in case we needed to be towed off the pitch (we have a large motorhome). Throughout our stay the wardens kept us informed of the impending flood situation and made a point of walking round the site and knocking on everyone's doors to keep them updated. We left the site on our schedule day of departure with an hour or so to spare! The wardens work was very much appreciated by both of us. On a more negative point I think the facilities blocks look a little tired and could do with modernising/ upgrading, but overall I would highly recommend this charming site in its wonderful location (apart from when the river floods of course!).

Easter Break

Our 5th Return To This Very Pleasant Site, Very Helpful & Wonderfull New Wardens, Ground A Little Damp Under Foot, But We Had No Problems,A Few Motorhomes Did Get Stuck,But Wardens On Hand To Help Them Out, We Find This Site Very Suitable To Us,Short Walk Into A Lovely Town, Great Food In The Local Pub,s !! Especially The Royal Hop Pole [Wetherspoons} Good Deals On Food & Beer With Great Real Ale Choices, We Think CC Site In Need Of A Revamp !! ie Some Hardstandings Due To The Flooding !! Also Toilet Blocks Need Updating, But Wardens Do A Great Job Keeping Them In Tip Top Condition, We Think The New Cleaning Times Are Perfect, ie Late Afternoon, Instead Of Morning When You Need Them Most !!! Kind Regards Pete & Hazel Caravaners From The Midlands ...

susceptible to flooding !

Nice site with a large play area for the kids. A short walk to shops which is a nice change, amenities clean but small, and a bit ocd on their rules, but have to say pleasant and polite staff. Flooding is a possibility and the abbey's bells can take its toll after a while.

Easter at the Abbey site

We had a very relaxing break at this site and enjoyed the Easter celebrations at the nearby Abbey. Despite some changeable weather and the (usual) flood warnings all was well. Rain softened the ground and some motorhomes got stuck in mud. The wardens were so helpful in getting those in trouble onto tarmac. Well done them. I also noticed that the toilet blocks are now cleaned in the afternoon. Much more sensible than the 9.30 cleaning that we had last year in one of the blocks. It's a lovely site but the Club really do need to spend some money on upgrading it.

This site is in a superb location walking distance to the Abbey, Town and Canal. It can be a little boggy under foot at times and over the years has flooded. It has easy access from the M50 and M5. However the toilet blocks are quite poor for the standard of Caravan Club Sites with old showers that need replacing badly. There are cracked tiles in both blocks. However I would return as the wardens were very welcoming and the location is ideal.

Tewkesbury Abbey......New Managers.

I am a regular visitor to Tewkesbury Abbey Club Site, and I love it.  When I arrived for my first visit this season on 18th March 2016 I was absolutely delighted to find it being managed by new wardens. It was nice to feel you were welcome once again.  The site was already showing signs of improvements (the borders were actually weedless) even though it has only just opened.  Members have been commenting for many years about the one shower block closed for cleaning at 9:30am, this is now scheduled for the afternoon.  The toilets attached to the rear of the reception were open from day one, last year they were closed for the majority of the season, only open when the site was very busy.  Things are looking better here now than they have for a few years.   HURRAY!

Good all rounder

Gorgeous site, depending on your disposition you don't have to go anywhere in the car, everything you could want outside the site entrance, if you want to travel around then it is perfectly placed with easy access to M5, we went to Bath, Malvern, Stratford, Moreton, Worcester you name it, the site itself is pride of place for sites in Bloom, through the spring and summer whenever we have been it has been gorgeous, clean site good toilet block but the downside comes with wet weather the site does hold a bit of water and is prone to flooding when in extremes due to the river at the back overall a lovely place to go
