Terrific Tewkesbury

We've stayed at this site before, it's perfect for a 3 to 4 night break. The amenities are up to the usual excellent C.C. standard, apart from the very low cold water pressure, it takes forever to fill our motorhome water tank? There are lots of lovely traffic free walks for you & your dogs & the town is very dog friendly. All but 3 pubs allowed dogs in, it's a shame Wetherspoons are anti dogs, they must loose a lot of trade.

Best of all sites

I know the ground a bit soft but Tewkesbury  simply the best , staff were wonderful and a lovely base, so  many days out from here.

Gives "Soggy bottom" new meaning

Superb location, ideal for a gentle visit to Tewkesbury Abbey or the town itself, the site is well cared for by the staff who somehow manage to keep a sense of humour when dealing with bogged down campervans! It's a pity that there are no hard standings, perhaps plastic grass or honeycomb could be considered as the ground really was rather wet.

Excellent

Thoroughly enjoyed a 3 night stay last weekend on this lovely Tewkesbury site despite the wet ground and a wheel spinning experience.  Facilities on site are very good and its proximity to the town is great - as are the number of pubs and restaurants.  The wardens are excellent - nothing is too much trouble and they assist with kindness, patience and humour. Managed to get us off site with ease - thank you.

Excellent Site

Even though the weather was a bit inclement, the site was really nice, wardens very friendly, and location was perfect, not only for local places but also for further afield such as Slimbridge, and the Forest of Dean.  Will definitely visit again.

Super Stay

My husband and I had a lovely 4 day stay at Twekesbury Abbey ! The wardens on the site made us very welcome , and were on hand to give us any information we needed . Facilities on the site were very clean . A massive thank you to Rich who helped us when we had a problem with our electric pin to the car . We will be returning ! Once again thank you for a pleasant stay ?? Mr & Mrs Taylor

Superb!

This is how all sites should be run, very pleasant friendly check in and good info on where to pitch. Upon deciding where to pitch, my mover decided to pack up, and after trying to reverse in a few times, two wardens came over and helped me, we had a bit of banter, and there help was very much appreciated, great chaps! The site is very clean, as are the toilets etc. As regards previous review on rubbish in park, well I must have been there just after he left and did not see any, in fact council workers were in there every day when I took my dog over, and what bikes!!! Tewkesbury ticks all the boxes!

A few days away after Easter

We arrived on the Wednesday after the Easter holiday, the site was quiet having had a flood scare the day before. When we arrived we were made very welcome by the warden and told about the very soft ground and the best pitching procedure to ensure we could get off pitch quickly if the need arose, which luckily it did not. The stay was very pleasant with the wardens making you feel very welcome and the site facilities up to the usual very high standard despite the very soft ground. The nearness to both the town and the Abbey are a real bonus especially for motorhomers. The only downside to the stay and it must be emphasised that this is way beyond the scope of the wardens and the club is the rubbish that is left on the park that is directly outside the site. It is an ideal run for your dog and ideal for younger children in the play area but it is used by older people that leave bottles, cans, paper and other food containers scattered over the area spoiling it for everyone else. Also be aware that the path alongside the swings is used by cyclists that come from the housing estate at the top to the gate just outside the club entrance at speed!!! So be aware and keep a sharp look out for cyclists if you walk or cross the path.  Having said what I have it was a lovely 4 day break and the weather was very kind to us.
