Lovely rural peaceful site

Just a short break just got home, very sad the weather from last week (scorching!) did not last. Great for motor homers, you can park in a beautiful well maintained site with friendly wardens, but no surprise as I find this is usual club standard :) A pleasant walk through a residential area to the sea. Lovely walk to Sutton-on sea despite weather and the following day as far as Mablethorpe. Lovely beach would be good for families and flat promenade great for cyclists. Note to self next time bring bike. As weather not great we were able to go to Skegness for fish and chips, next time hopefully without rain we can walk the promenade too. Would love to come again.

Get the bikes out and enjoy a lovely coastline!

A good site. Some great pitches and as always a great welcome from the wardens. It is really well positioned for Sutton on sea. Our main reason for visiting was to cycle some of the coast. Mablethorpe is a short hop along the promenade. Head south and you arrive at Huttoft beach great for a picnic. A little further on and you can enjoy Anderby Creek. Fabulous beach and only a handful of people. If you are happy to cycle on the tiny link road you can move on to Chapel st Leonards and Skegness although these may be an aquired taste We were lucky with beautiful weather making this a great place for gentle cycling with some fantastic sea views. Amazingly friendly locals and tourists made for a great short break. Get the bikes out and enjoy a lovely coastline!

Someone forgot to tell the weather it was Easter

Lovely little site. Wardens are always friendly and a god send this weekend as they allowed us to stay a couple of hours later as it was snowing back home and the delay allowed it to turn back to rain. It is looking slightly tired in places but wore told getting a refurb at the end of the season. More hard standing pitches would mean more members would get to enjoy this little site and help with availability in poor weather. I also have to praise the hard work of the wardens in keeping the facilities clean in very trying conditions with a few of the pitches and grass areas flooded. Only wish the club could have a word with the local farmer as his bird scarer sounds like a mini bomb going off every 15 mins and after 3 days is really annoying.

A Great Site.

We visited the site for the Easter bank holiday 2018. last time we came was 2014. Despite the weather what a good site this is... on arrival we were met by the wardens who was most helpful and friendly, that on its own makes a difference. The site itself is open, well maintained with a central toilet block and facilities, yes some look a bit tired now, but overall its ok, the toilets and showers were always clean and fresh. Another great addition was the Chip van coming on site, which we enjoyed. Sutton on sea is not overloaded with loads of shops, but enough for supplies. we rode our bikes along the sea front to Mablethorpe, in addition we walked along the sea front and beach, Another addition is the Bacchus Hotel in Sutton, they serve excellent food and drinks at reasonable prices. The chip shop to use is I think they called it Waldorfs or something, is first class. So overall a great site, and location. See you May bank holiday.

Excellent site

Staff very helpful, site clean and tidy, located near enough to Mablethorpe to walk along the beach. Would definitely return if we were visiting that part of the country again.

Still a 5-star for me.

Visited during half term week, when the site was about half full. As usual the toilets were spotless and I agree with another reviewer, they do look a bit tired, but I understand they are to be refurbished at the end of next season. Plenty to see and do in the area even this late in the season. Hardy's Farm Park was a must for the grandchildren, as were the donkeys on Mablethorpe and Skegness beaches. Farmer Browns (2 miles away) has wonderful ice cream as well. The wardens, as ever, are very helpful and always busy - I don't envy them with all those leaves to pick up! I am not sure if the whole site is having a revamp or just the toilet block, but I would love to see a few full-service pitches. I would certainly pay the extra for them.

Very Good site.

Spent a few days at Sutton in October 2017 Previous reviews had stated that the toilet block looked tired, not so. It was very clean, warm and the water was hot what do they want for £15 a night Caesars Palace? Note the commercial site next door was priced at FROM £12 pn with no toilets or showers. Stick with the club. Do not approach the site from Ings Lane ignore the SatNav. do as the book says. Ings Lane is very narrow rutted and unfenced complete with ditch on both sides. Sutton is an easy walk from the site follow the directions given when you check in. Have a nice stay.

Lovely Location

A lovely weekend in Lincolnshire. The site is easy to access and in a good location, easy to bike to Sutton and Mablethorpe or even walk. Nice not to have to rely on the car. The site is what you would expect. We would definitely return with our Granddaughter, really liked the seafront at Mablethorpe.

Two nights at Sutton on Sea

A lovely, friendly, helpful welcome. A very peaceful site even though it was surprisingly busy for late September. Everything about the site was great for us - what a lovely big information room. We walked from the site to Mablethorpe along the promenade as advised by the Warden and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were various eating/drinking places to stop at and what a lovely beach.
