A Lovely Peaceful & Quite Club Site

This was our 1st visit to this club site and only 1-hour drive away, so our weekend stay was not eaten up with a long journey. It is a lovely peaceful and quiet site and has lovely paths for both dog walkers and cyclists within the Forestry Commission’s Fineshade wood next door, which has been well sign posted along the paths. We had our two eldest grandkids with us and they were never off their bike the whole weekend. We loved it so much we have already booked a pitch for a late summer return with three of our eldest grandkids joining us. The site was clean and tidy with the wardens both friendly and very informative. The site has no washroom facilities, but that just adds to the charm to the overall site. Some of the pitches have a distinct slope on them that would challenge even the best of your levelling devices. A visit into busy Stamford is well worth it, with plentiful shops and eaters available as are the historical house and castles within the area.
