Looking very tired

First time back after a couple of years but how things have changed. Site is looking very tired. Little point in having a shower after 9am as there was no hot water. Hate the digilocks on the facilities block as they're no good if you have fat fingers and it's too dark at night to see the numbers and letters unless you take your mobile and use the torch although my wife said the lock on the ladies was broken so it was just a matter of pushing the door. Best thing is the convenience for Cromer which is an easy walk. I much prefer Incleboro Fields although the lack of service pitches and the lack of flat pitches meaning it can take a while to level the van is a downside there.

Packed in

School holidays and packed in like sardines. Good bar and pool for the children. Bus stop outside the site and an easy walk into Cromer. Toilets and Touring areas need updating. Paid less for much better at other campsites.

Lovely break with the grandchildren

Stayed here for the first time with MH. We took our grandchildren aged 7 and 13. The site was busy, but that is to be expected in the school holidays. The wardens were working very hard at keeping on top of everything as it was so busy, and they were always very friendly and happy. The shower facilities are tired, but plenty of hot water and they were always clean. The swimming pool was great for the grandchildren. We only had one occasion where it was at full capacity and they had to wait until it was less busy to go in. The evening entertainment was really great for our 7 year old. The older grandchild didn't appreciate it as much, but that was understandable. The staff in the bar and restaurant were so very friendly and helpful. We did eat in there on one occasion which was very nice. It is an easy walk into Cromer (we did see the variety show on the pier). We took the bus and visited the Shire Horse Sanctuary, which as so much more than horses, that was great. We will visit again, but on our own this time, as we would like to walk more and visit more places that interest us, and there are plenty of places to explore. Look forward to our next visit.

Great location, good site.

As an all rounder, Seacroft is a good site from our first visit. We stayed for 3 nights, one on a grass pitch and the others on a service pitch, based on availability. The facilities were good, always seemed clean and useable, showers were hot which is always a good thing! Fair to say they are a little dated but absolutely to a decent standard and not that I'd score the site down for. Swimming pool was used by our kids and they were happy with it, whilst we used the bar once and was good service, clean and pleasant. Prices reasonable. Staff were helpful and friendly, check in was super easy and straight forward. Location was great with a pleasant 10-15min walk into the centre of Cromer. Close to a supermarket for top ups also. Compared to other sites with similar facilities, I'd reflect on what we paid and say the prices are a little high for the site. I would come back to Seacroft, as we'd like to explore more of Cromer and places around it, but likely only for a weekend as I think we'd get a much better deal for longer somewhere else.

Great site

Great site central location easy to walk into Cromer bus stop right outside with frequent service minor points shower and toilet facilities in need of a replacement not enough for the amount of people on site but they were spotlessly clean the Wanderer Bar was nice good food and drink at a reasonable price but limited menu but better less than more sometimes it was very noisy due to the tv volume, overall the site is a bit weary but it will not put us off from coming again I agree with the no mow policy great to give the wildlife support so well done you will also need more than 5 meters of fresh water pipe if on one of the serviced pitches. The Wardens were very friendly and alway busy

Disappointed

Just got back from a week on this site with the grandchildren, serviced pitch and site with pool and club house etc. We were very disappointed with the site (no fault of the wardens) the site was kept as clean and tidy as the wardens could possibly do BUT, it is very cramped throughout the site, as many vans as possible squeezed in. Grass dead in a lot of places due to groundsheets not being lifted (but weather was poor). This site is in need of major refurbishment and looked tatty and tired everywhere. The shower block was cleaned well every day but is now so old, dated and tatty that could do with replacement as did a few of the service points. Pool was great but small for the amount of people on site. The Wanderer had live entertainment nearly every day but again was looking tired with floor strips missing and broken etc. Kids play area had no swings, just the frame and was outdated. All this for £71.20 per night! On the plus side, there is lots to do in the area with Sherringham being nice. We went on the Bure Valley Railway, boat trip on broads at Wroxham, Shire Horse centre and the Priory Maize just a few. Great place to eat is The Wroxham Hotel on the broads watching the world go by on the river.

Seacroft Caravan site Cromer

We return to Seacroft for a relaxing holiday, we especially like walking and this site is central for many National Trust sites. We enjoy returning for a late afternoon swim, yes the water was chilly this year no heating but still a lovely asset to have on the site. The wardens are busy but continue to work hard and are friendly. The restaurant staff were friendly and worked long hours. The food was tasty and well presented. The Shower block was clean but facilities were dated.

Things not what they were .

I have to say that Seacroft is one of my favourite places to stay but things have definitely changed there. The location of the site is perfect and we have stayed many times but on this visit it just seemed that the site is not looking the same as it has before . Grass areas and pitch maintenance is definitely not as good but if you only have two sets of wardens on site this cannot be as good. The facilities were kept clean and the check in was seamless, wardens are friendly but staff morale did not seem good. You pay a high premium for this site and compared to other sites it is not value for money . Such a shame that the caravan club do not seem to value their employees these days and it really shows .

HAPPY

Really loved this site. So friendly. Easy walk into Cromer. Not really changed since regular holidays there as a child Dog loved it too. Lovely corner pitch(grass) Didn't use the swimming pool but looked very inviting. Did have a meal at the Wanderer Restaurant. Bonus was that they let dogs in the bar area. A big plus for us that the bus stop was right outside the site. Wish we could've booked for longer. Will definitely be returning and stay for longer.

the good ,the bad and the ugly

Good , location for walking to town and bus stops just outside , supermarket, fuel , just down the road food and drink very close if not using the on site bistro, Bad . the pool had limited opening , hope this changes for the summer holidays, only one toilet block , although access to alternative facilities during cleaning times available,Thought the choice of food in the Bistro limited and a little pricy Ugly, ground work / mowing / weeds, around th pitches need to be addressed, This was our fourth visit over the last few years , I'm afraid it's the last for a while, what was a premier site has now gone downhill and feel it's no longer value for money, on a positive note the site staff where very friendly
