Lovely friendly Wardens and very clean

We arrived at 1.10pm and there was a Warden waiting at the barrier with a friendly smile, checked our booking and let us through to choose our pitch. Excellent way of doing this instead of everyone queuing. We chose our pitch and went back to reception to notify them. There was a problem with the system whereby they couldn't check our guests in who would be staying for 2 nights of our 4. Great sense of humour and dealt with in an excellent way. The toilets/showers now have a code for some reason. I asked the Wardens and they said it was like that when they arrived so didn't know why. The toilets/showers were kept exceptionally clean and the Wardens worked very hard on site. Yes, we have been here a few times and always enjoy the pool which is lovely and warm. Keep doing what you're doing ladies and also the man we saw on the tractor a few times.

First timers

It is was first stay at this site, and probably not our last. It wasn't busy with children in our stay, so I can't say how it is at peark times. Our pitch was large and well maintained. The Wanderer bar was nice to call for a drink after dog walking. We did not have a meal, but they looked good, with specials available. Even specials for Eurovision night. The shower and toilet block was warm and spotless clean. We easily walked to Cromer in the beach, but can get there fairly quickly directly. There is a good coastline Hopper Bus which we used to go to Sheringham and Wells on Sea. Overall a very good location and site.

Sunny Seacroft

We have been coming to Seacroft for many years now - since it first opened. However I agree that it has gone downhill a bit, after the expansion the toilet block size was never increased so can be quite busy but the pitches are now better spaced out. I have always thought it a shame that the pool isn't opened out of season without the need for a lifeguard especially as it tends just to be adults too. When you go abroad there is never a lifeguard on duty at the pools & virtually every site abroad has a pool. It is a convenient site located within easy walking distance into Cromer which is a lovely quaint seaside town. Easy walking distance into East Runton & the beach which the dog can go on and a great fish & chip shop there too & handy local shop for supplies. There are some nice walks out around the back of the site too.

Seacroft has gone downhill….(😥😥)

We have stayed at Seacroft a number of times on all types of pitches. This is the first year though we were made to feel unwelcome by the wardens. We arrived at 1315 (as per the numerous texts / emails not to arrive before 1300, which we totally support!) to be fast tracked onto the site, again no problem, we were told at check in not to go down to the office until 2pm at the earliest to register…. However the toilets are now all locked by a code and if you need to go you need to go! Especially after a long drive and we hadn’t set our van up by that point… Well… I walked down to the office with my dog to stretch his legs and to get the toilet code… they have never been locked before and to be honest I find the fact they are now quite disconcerting. The lady warden shouted at me to take my dog out of the office, I had literally just popped my head around the corner to ask for the code, and there was no sign saying dogs not allowed! (They always have been before)… I literally had to embarrassingly say, I’m sorry but I need the bathroom, it was like I was an inconvenience to her.. she told me to I would get the code on the gate card after we confirmed our pitch after 2pm… I couldn’t wait so had to tell her as such, much to her chagrain she finally gave me the code. The wardens have not improved after this instance I’m afraid. Real shame as we love Cromer but think we will give Seacroft a miss for a few years now, especially as they lock the toilets. Pray your memory can retain the code! And please turn that frown upside down, we are all here just to have a fun time!

Many reason to like this site

There are many reasons for this is to be a favourite of ours. I've always found the wardens friendly and helpful, the location is brilliant with the added bonus of the bus stops (in both directions) just outside the entrance, and it is an easy arrival and set up site, with facilities that are plentiful and clean. There is a bar and restaurant on site, which we see as a bonus rather than essential, and we threatened to use it every night of our stay, but found ourselves eating and drinking whilst out and about at one of the many places within easy access to visit. You are spoiled for choice of places to go to, and no trip is complete without a visit to the Red Lion pub in Cromer. It is an attractive site for families in the summer, and we find the school holidays understandably busy, particularly the swimming pool area. We are already looking at our return dates.

Seacroft- great location and bar on site

This was our first visit to Seacroft and not our last I hope. The Warden at checkin was friendly and helpful. Facilities are of the usual high standard which we expect on a club site. The location, 15 minute walk to Cromer and all its loveliness is a real bonus. Dog walking on the beach - miles of sand even at high tide. There are beach dog restrictions near to Cromer 1st May- 30th September. The bar and restaurant on site are a real bonus and we ate two evenings in the bar which is dog friendly- the food was freshly cooked, tasty, plentiful and served with a smile made our evening.

Sadly gone from 10 to 1....

Seacroft used to be one of our favourites we have been going there for quite a few years now and we are regular travellers going away every few weeks through the whole year. Sadly this visit might be our last to Seacroft we were made to feel so unwelcome by the new wardens! Yes we are over sized that's why I ring to confirm at time of booking. But it seems like everytime there's new warden's put on we have a problem, it's very frustrating having to explain over and over again... we've been coming for years, last year 4 times normally at least twice... we have no problem getting on many of the pitches but more often that not go fully serviced so not a problem at all... but we are still told 'you shouldn't be on here' ' how did you book?' Even told once l had booked 'fraudulently' and properly told off! That really makes you feel welcome! There's has been some lovely wardens which make up for the jobsworths with no tact! The prices are getting ridiculous and the restaurant now is so over priced. £1.40 difference in a pint of Doombar to that of pub 5min walk away! Shocking your suppose to entice folks out of drinking there own cheaper drinks well your not succeeding...such a shame as a great site...

A very good site

An enthusiastic welcome started our recent week finishing on 12/12/2022. The stay was easy safe and enjoyable, a complete relaxed experience. The Wardens were attentive cheerful and available. The weather could have been better but hey at this time of the year not unexpected. Many thanks to the Wardens, a happy Christmas to you all.

Our favourite club site (in the winter!)

We love this club site and make frequent trips here in the winter (summer time it is very busy, expensive and noisy so we avoid it). The staff are always very friendly and the facilities are kept very clean (if a little cold this time). A short one night away this weekend and although the price has gone up quite a lot this year it is still very good value in the winter for the proximity to the beach and Cromer. This was the first time we have eaten in the restaurant, staff friendly, food reasonable, but the room was very cold!

Winter Break

We booked a week at Seacroft last minute as we had just bought our caravan and wanted to do a “test run”. Also, we had bought some vouchers two years ago during the height of Covid, then sold our motor home! So now wanted to use them by the expiry date end of December. No problems finding the site the access roads are pretty good. We checked in and discovered that the online booking system had already taken the balance of payment so the vouchers could not be used! Ok my fault for not reading the small print and unticking a box when booking, however I checked with CAMC head office who confirmed the payment could be refunded. I spoke to the staff on site who were very helpful but had not had to do this type of transaction before. Jennette looked into it and went “above and beyond” to resolve it for us, which took a number of calls. She could not have been more helpful. Anyway back to the site…. We found it very well maintained and the facilities immaculate, however due to staff sickness the bar and restaurant was closed for most of the time we were there only opening for some of the World Cup matches. We walked into East Ruston then along the beach to Cromer with our dog, around 30-40 mins, or direct from the site into Cromer about 15 mins. Overall, a great site in a good location we’ll definitely be back next year.
