Return visit........

Were on site for the last week of July........ Quite a large site, and popular with families but it never seemed noisy. Site has three pairs of wardens who manage to keep the site and facilities immaculate. The floral display is a joy to behold, and should win any prizes going - congratulations to the green fingered wardens who have achieved this. Location is great, with a variety of scenery around... North York Moors Railways for train enthusiasts RSPB Bempton Cliffs for 'birders', and just brilliant areas to explore for walkers and cyclists. Food wise, a trip a little north of Scarborough to a pub called Bryherstones Inn at Cloughton is well worth a visit. They can trace their ingredients from field to fork -- the meat is supplied by the landlady's family -- fish fresh from Whitby and vegetables all grown locally. Hospitality at it's best, with ALL the staff smiling.Very reasonable prices for superb pub food - go and enjoy.

One of the best CC sites....

spent ten days here. On arrival, welcome was lovely, and the cheerful smiles and helping hand offered by the wardens continued throughout our stay. Beautifully maintained site, I get the feeling the wardens take great pride in what they do. The peace broken only occasionally by children enjoying them selves,,,,,,great to see them having fun......but really no bother. Location is great for getting around. So much to see and do. We are quite taken with the beauty of Yorkshire and the friendly welcome wherever we went. Definitely a return visit is on the cards.....!

Kids & Parents

Been going to this site for over 10 years, evens though we have to do so in the school holidays ? Some of the parents are just as bad as their children , letting them play football around other peoples caravans, even when parked just 20/30 yards away from the play area, which has a large football pitch. when asked to stop annoying us and other campers near to us, you can understand why the kids are so ignorant!! Talk about a chip off the old block!! The site has also wasted money on no cycling, scooter or skateboard signs as these are not taken notice of !!

Great Site

This was our first outing in our newly acquired motor home so only booked one night at the very last minute to try it out. So glad we came here, it was perfect. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. The site was well designed and set out, spacious and very clean with immaculate grassed areas and lots of colourful planters. There's a useful information centre with personal recommendations of where to eat locally. The weather was also glorious. Couldn't fault it. We will definitely be coming back again for longer.

A Very Neat Site

A very clean, neat and tidy site. It is seems to be a very popular site as it was fully booked when we stayed there. I felt it was to crowded, not much room between caravans. All so close.

Great Site

Stayed here 24th - 31st July, excellent facilities friendly staff. Wardens have done lovely job with the various flower beds around the site and the little park area surrounding the info centre is a credit to them, not seen a nicer spot on any sites we have visited. Ideal site for visiting all beaches nearby, the park and ride into Scarborough well worth it. Although we no longer have a young family it is an ideal site for children. Will certainly come again.

Fab-u-lous!

Stayed here 9th-19th July. Fabulous site. Wardens do a fantastic job. All facilities well looked after and spotless. We were on the lower side of the site which was great for our daughter to access the park - she thoroughly enjoyed doing the Tourer Explorer activity! Lots to do and see in the area - highly recommend rock making at John Bull, Eden Camp and fab beaches at Filey and Robin Hood's Bay. Food wonderful in The Copper Horse at Seamer and fab fish and chips at North Bay Fisheries in Scarborough. Only downside was not staying longer :-(

FANTASTIC HOLIDAY

Stayed 23rd to 30th July 2016 with two grandchildren (9 and 7 yrs) - their first caravan trip with us. Everything we expect from Caravan Club sites was met - well kept, clean, pleasant wardens, pitch space - and all coupled with a great area around . Being on a terraced type layout gave the impression that each area was a smaller site in itself whilst also having the space of a larger site overall. Grandchildren had a fantastic time on-site using the play and sport facilities and riding around on bikes / skates and just mixing with other children, younger and older - and getting ice creams and sweets from the office! All absolutely first class

Stayed here from the 15th to 23rd July 2016, would recommend

Staff very friendly but not obtrusive, apologised when carrying out ground maintenance which is a job that has to be done, but they were quick and out of the way, could do with a sign pointing to the site from the Thirsk way to West Ayton other wise you miss the turning, I gave a four for peace & quiet only due to the fact that a caravan with a couple of small dogs would allow them to yap most of the time & did not consider other site user's, but other dog owners very considerate & well behaved, the pitches are well spaced apart and there are many areas which are separated by hedging and banks, giving that bit of seclusion, easy access to Scarborough & Whitby, I would without a doubt recommend this site & would have no issue in visiting again.
