1st Time Away

This was our first time in our motorhome to try everything out, so we were expecting a learning curve. The staff on arrival and throughout our stay were magnificent, no question was too stupid for them and they really made our stay a perfect start to our motorhome adventures. I have seen the comments on road noise, and although we could hear it on occasion it did not bother us or detract from our enjoyment. We did not use the shower or toilet facilities, but everything was fully explained to us on arrival in case we needed to, it sounded like everything had been well thought out. Everyone was very friendly, including the six rabbits that visited the vacant pitch next to ours every morning. Many thanks.

Pleasant site poor location

The site is very well maintained and close to shops. It would benefitted from a better dog exercise area, but the park next door is a bonus. The staff were very pleasant and facilities kept clean. It was good to have the service toilets available 24 hours but some campers did not keep them tidy! I would have preferred the hand driers to be working. The road traffic noise spoils the site, but it did not prevent us from having a good nights sleep. Had a good 5 night stay and did plenty of cycling and walking from the site.

Weekend break

My wife are over 70 and booked this site last minute to have a mini break. Our first impression was not good as we had to wait in heaving traffic on the approach to the site. We could see from the road the caravans so we guessed straight away that there would be traffic noise, coupled with a mini dust storm from an adjacent field which was blowing to the side of the site, however the apprehension was forgotten once we got to the reception. We were greeted by Kay, who gave us the run down of the site, supplied with a map and told to choose a vacant white posted pitch and let her know where we were. The site was spotlessly clean and tidy, the only thing I think was amiss was that there should have been markings on the double rows as to where the vehicles could access and regress without the danger of driving over other pitches electric hook up cables. Due to Covid, we decided not to use the toilet block facilities. Yes it was noisy due to the close proximity of the main roads, but on a personal note the road noise did not bother us. The main noise which was annoying was from nearby. Music playing loudly on Saturday afternoon and evening., coming from a nearby caravan park on the other side of one of the main roads. Gernerally this was a good site, well maintained and close to a lot of facilities

Rowan Park

Friendly and helpful staff facilities are clean but in need of an update, road noise wasn't too bad but we were only there for a weekend so the on going construction behind the site was not active I would imagine it would be very noisy when they're working

Great site, awful location

If you are of nervous disposition or simply want a relaxing break then this is not the site for you. Conveniently situated close to a local retail park there is a main road running parallel to the the entrance that makes thinking straight impossible day and night for those pitched there. We stayed for a long weekend and there is building work going on in the week. If you are staying midweek you to contend with this noise at the back of the camp (accepting reduced road noise at night) We have just spent 3 nights here. We were about to pack up after the 1st. Don't get me wrong, the staff are very helpful. The facilities on point. but, if you want sleep - forget it unless you have the most amazing earplugs....... Not for us and we are normally really tolerant.......... Back home and planning the next trip but will research a little more. ONE NOISY SITE

Excellent site

We love Rowan Park the team working there are friendly and welcoming. It is Near to all facilities shops buses eating places etc. Shower/ toilet blocks really clean and grounds well maintained. Road noise yes but we never find that a problem and we have had a few pitches around the park. We booked again already for next year and are really looking forward to going back again.

Welcoming team and nice site but...

Welcoming team, pleasant looking site with clean facilities. I would never come back as it was like seating next to a racing track. Constant high level of traffic noises and racing sports cars and motorbike. I’ve had three dreadful night sleep. This is my experience!

Horrendous road noise

Originally booked for two nights only stayed one. Myself husband and our dog had pitch number ten, we heard road noise all day,all evening and until the early hours, the noise was worse in the early hours with obvious car races taking place, the noise from the cars exhaust was unsettling for my dog as she thought it was fireworks, no sleep last night, I go away for a break to get away from traffic and built up areas not to be in the middle of it. I’m not sure which came first the camp site or the busy road but we will definitely not be coming back here which is a shame as the site is very clean and the band/key system works well, the nature reserve on the sites doorstep was lovely, my dog loved running free there, but we had very little sleep last night due to the road noise, we met three other couples who agreed with us and said they were trying to move their caravans and Motorhomes to other parts of the site to get away from the noise. On a positive note the site is good for exploring Sussex.

Pleasant surprise

Had a wonderful hot first week in August Despite concerns of very negative reviews & also of the site being on the small side , Yes building work was going on behind our hedge pitch 43, ,noise was slight but prob best pitch on site, some people moan for the sake of moaning. I did not use onsite facilities as our Motorhome was well equipped for Covid 19 although my husband did a couple of times & washing up room, he did mention water could be slightly hotter. Made friends with our lovely neighbours & several others on site. Plenty of shops nearby & a pleasant walk to Bognor seafront. Amazing park land adjacent for our doggies who loved it. Very clean & tidy site ,wardens friendly & helpful, a credit to the club. COVID-19 well catered for at the shower blocks & toilets the but I think on occasions people kept hold of the keys .Looking forward to our next stay at Rowan Park. Thank you again Caravan club 😃
