A relaxing break

Having stayed nearer to the New Forest and Bournemouth. On many occasions, we decided to give the Portsmouth side a visit. We chose Rookesbury Park mainly for it's convenient location, and we are very happy we did. It's a lovely site, very well maintained and lots of pitches scattered throughout so you didn't feel hemmed in and all in a line. As you would expect, the toilet and shower facilities were spotless and plentiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a site that is definitely recommend by us both, top marks ??

Great weekend

We have been to Rookesbury a few times and have never been disappointed. The site has everything you want great play areas for children. plenty of dog walking woods and if you want to cycle you can without going on the road. The wardens are warm and friendly and the toilets and the nice hot showers are spotless. Rookesbury is ideal for everyone

Caravanning in the Park

Well managed site with spotless facilities. The setting is genuine parkland. Pitches are spacious with easy access. Some early morning, distant traffic noise but nothing intrusive. Radio, TV and Wi-Fi reception are excellent. Mobile signal varies according to where you stand ! Site is good overnight stop for ferry traffic heading to France or the Isle of Wight. Nearby Wickham is an attractive town with a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants. Fuel is also available. Plenty of pub/restaurants in local villages. Discounters and other supermarkets in Fareham. Portsmouth waterfront is a worth a visit. A27 is very busy at the beginning and end of the working day and worth avoiding if possible. The site is a good touring base or an excellent setting to relax, read, watch wildlife or just people watch. We will definitely return.

Another good weekend

My wife and I only live 30 minutes away from the site but always have a good weekend away. The welcome from the wardens was warm and they were very helpful. As always, the facilities were spotless. Spent a contented 15 minutes just watching the bird life and especially a bird of prey circling in the sky. Wonderful.

Busy site , but extremely well run .

Stayed 4 nights to visit elderly  family in Fareham . Very big busy site , but extremely well run . Separate part for early starters to ferry . Lovely entrance to site from hundred acre road through woodland . Large play area , immaculate toilet blocks . Very pleasant helpful wardens .  Close to Southampton and Portsmouth . A lovely shopping village just down the road .  Recommend a visit to Beaulieu motor museum and house , not just for car enthusiasts something for every one in a lovey estate village .  Did not travel much further becouse of time spent with relatives , so a return visit is planned .

Like coming home!

Yet another 250 mile trip down the M6, M6 toll road, M42, M40, A34, M3, M27, A32, Southwick Road, Hundred Acres Road - to reach what we now consider feels like home!! Super site, with super wardens, super facilities and a superb location! After this trip we 'unconsciously' brought home a small frog in one of our picnic tables!! Believe me, it was very annoyed and confused when we unloaded at home in Warrington! 5 hours previously it was hopping about pitch 132 having fun!! - thanks for another stunning visit! ??

Great site

One of our very favourite Caravan Club sites. We love the location and the closeness to some fantastic walks. Very well laid out site with a great dog walk. And as for the Wardens - fantastic. They do a wonderful job in keeping a very busy site so clean and tidy all the time.

Don't stay before you catch a ferry!

Very busy site in a good area for families. Stayed at the site for a ferry crossing and it was half term (by coincidence) and the facilities were overstretched, and the site very noisy. The 'ferry area' was scruffy and next to a football pitch/playing field - not much sleep before the early ferry! Parents brought noisy children through the area on the way to play. Dog owners brought their dogs into the area, encouraged them to foul, cleaned up and left! Very expensive for a poor night's sleep.
