We recently stayed at the River Breamish site and it was fantastic, the facilities were great and spotlessly clean , nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, Ian in particular was very good and knowledgeable, the site is in a great location for Alnwick, Bamburgh, Craster and many more destinations, we even went uptown Edinburgh for the day , the site was extremely clean and very peaceful and a very relaxed atmosphere.
We will definitely stay here again it was brilliant
Very relaxing break.
Very warm welcome form the wardens who were friendly and helpful throughout. We had a fully serviced pitch, which we understand was only completed late last year. The pitch was perfect, a good size in a very well kept and pleasant part of the site. Have to admit we might not have been quite so comfortable at the far end of the site on one of the standard pitch's. Some are looking a bit tired and in need of some ground work tidying.
The site is not near any major food shops but the Londis at the end of the road has adequate supplies if you don't want to go far. Other than that the site is in a great location for touring both country and coast with the added bonus for me of Thrunton Long Crag trout fishery just 5 miles down the road for a few hours evening fly fishing. We will definitely be back again.

Fantastic Site
We have stayed here many times and it was our second visit this year. The site is excellent, great for a quiet break with plenty of cycling and walking. The site is well kept and very clean, cannot fault the work done on site.
Two issues that we encountered could have spoilt the trip had we let them. Firstly, we arrived at 12.55, fourth in a short queue, after initial welcome we were told that should we arrive early next time we would be turned away, club rules. Not sure where you would go as there is nothing suitable close by where you can stop. We were able to observe arrivals each day and as normal people arrive early to get the pick of the best spots. This happens at most club sites I have stayed on. I cannot understand why the club will not allow specific pitches to be booked in advance, technology is there for this to be in place. Sites belonging to Tranquil Parks, use this and have no problems with it.
Second issue was the motorhome next to us had an awning up and most evenings the two gentlemen watched their large screen television very loudly and well after 10.00pm. Do wardens check for noise after 10.00, there is supposed to be a quiet time after 10.00pm.
These were two minor points but so easily be avoided.
Such good Assistant Managers
Really helpful staff in general but a special mention to Ian the Assistant Manager who was so helpful. Came and gave our dog a biscuit when passing our pitch.
The site has good dog walking from site and not too far from coast and wonderful beaches.
Not any pubs close by who serve food but Black Bull and Tankerville Arms in Wooler good and doggy friendly. …..8 miles.
Busy with children during holiday times……shame parents bring them with motorised scooters and let them loose without control around site roads disturbing other members.
Site well kept.

Truly Outstanding Site
Wow what a fabulous site - we moved here after booking a non club site in Wooler which awful - sadly we could only get 2 nights here - but we had the best 2 nights - we where welcomed so nicely by Ian who is a real credit to the club - he was so helpful and informative as we waited to check in.
Check in was seamless and we found our pitch and set up - Ian came over to see is everything was working fine and told us and our 7 year old granddaughter about an Adder which he would show us if we wanted to see it - it was raining hard at the time and he said he would come back when the rain abated and he did - wow what a great site - thank you Ian.
The Breamish Valley is stunning and if you have bikes would highly recommend riding up to Ingram and the cafe then on up into the valley - it is breathtaking and truly beautiful.
You are surrounded by a lovely nature reserve and lots of walking routes.
There is a small but well stocked Londis shop on the Main road(A697) a short distance from the site - you could easily walk to it in 10 minutes and you will be able to get lots of provisions here and well as fuel.
The whole team where friendly and helpful and clearly take great pride in the site - they where constantly on the go tending to all areas of the site.
Shower/ toilet facilities are kept immaculately clean
We feel truly grateful to have found this site and very lucky we had 2 fabulous nights here - we will definitely return and would like to thank Ian so much for making us so welcome - Olivia loved seeing you around the site and chattering to you.
Great people and lovely site
Stayed for 6 nights and didnt want to come home. Site doesn’t have a great deal around it, which makes it nice and quiet, but you do need to be prepared to get out and about in the car. Very cheery chappie at site, always with a smile and always out and about tending the site. When we came to leave we had a problem hooking up the electrics and he was happy to help (although neighbour finally sorted it! - thank you nice people!)
Really clean and tidy site, no complaints at all.
Lovely part of the world, definitely worth a visit.
Exceptional Service
A beautifully clean and well organised site but our praise will focus on the fantastic service we received from the wardens when we had a couple of worrying problems initially with our MH but then unfortunately, with our dog. Ian, the warden helped us to resolve our technical issue but then later and more worryingly our dog became very unwell and he quickly provided us with the information we needed to get her treated on an emergency basis by a local vet and she is now fully recovered.. He was so attentive and supportive during what was for us was a very stressful time, we were extremely grateful for his help and we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this site and we will certainly return. Thanks again.
A Peaceful Corner.
This is a very spacious, level site with large individual pitches. It is also very quiet and peaceful, with plenty of visiting wild life. The serviced pitches are particularly good. All the facilities are excellent, and kept in pristine condition. We were there in a period of continual wind, but were surprised at the degree of shelter on the site. An excellent dog walk is accessed from the site, as are walks in the neighbourhood. There is a store at the nearby fuel station. A slight disadvantage of the site is that there are no cafes or pubs within easy walking distance. You can expect a warm and friendly welcome from the site staff who are committed to the maintenance of the site and to making sure you have a pleasurable break.
Peaceful bliss
Such a fabulous site, peace and quiet and in a most gorgeous position in the Breamish Valley. Lots and lots of lovely walks from the site. We loved it so much in March we booked to go back in May. Branton Lakes lie just behind the site for a nature filled level walk, or head along the river Breamish, climb the rolling hills for some gorgeous views of totally unspoilt countryside or walk along the old railway line. There is probably the best dog walk we have come across, which also forms a nature trail with bird hide over the lake and has access to the river. The site is very clean and tidy with a well resourced information area.and the staff so welcoming. We could not fault the facilities. We are already looking to return as soon as we can.

First visit
This is a lovely site, we had a warm welcome from staff . The site is very well looked after and like all caravan and motorhome club sites which we have visited was lovely and clean. Pitches are very spacious, and their is a great dog walk on site along the river, if you want to go a little further there is a longer walk around two lakes next to site. We did the circular walk to Ingram cafe (dog friendly)which was very scenic following the river, with the reward of coffee and cake sitting outside in the cafes courtyard.
We will certainly return.
