A nice site with helpful and friendly wardens

A lovely site with stunning views. There is traffic noise from the A66 however that is what it is. The site was pristine and the Wardens excellent- helpful and friendly. There were a few yappy dogs around but again not something the site can control. The local information was good and there is lots to see in close proximity. If anything CAMC could spend a bit of money on grading and levelling the grass pitches A lovely visit and well worth a return trip

Clean and tidy site

Good well maintained site, showers and toilets spotless and nicely warm. No play equipment for children and no decent dog walk, which probably wont bother too many people. It was noisy at the top end where we were parked as it was next to the A66. Despite this we enjoyed our stay there. Richmond is lovely and we found two lovely play parks there for our grandson who was with us. Would use the site again if in the area but hopefully park further away from the road!

A cracking site

Having stayed here for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago for the first time we decided to come back for 6 nights, the wardens are very helpful and nice, the site is superbly kept and the facilities are the best and cleanest I have ever seen, the whole site is a credit to the wardens hard and caring work. Although there is some noise from road traffic it's not annoying and the views from the site are nice. The area has plenty to offer with Richmond and Easby Abby only a few miles away and well worth a visit, Catterick Garrison is not only 15 minutes away and has all the shops you need.

A Special Site

This is the third time this year we have been at the site and I can't say anymore than I said on my last review. Most helpful wardens and a really well kept site. The Wardens take a pride in keeping the site perfect. Would certainly recommend this site to anyone. Will be back soon I hope for another fantastic stay.

Beautiful views

Stopped here for one night en route to the Highlands. Very close to Scotch Corner A1/A66 and not far from Catterick which has a good shopping area if required. The site is typical Caravan Club with views that are simply outstanding. We intend to return and stay longer to fully appreciate the area.

What a Lovely site

Just had 2 nights here for the first time, the husband and wife wardens are very nice, easy going and very helpful. The site it's self is extremely well kept and the facilities first class, while there is some noise from the A66 it's not over powering by any means and near by Richmond is well worth a visit. We used this site as we have just bought a van from a local dealer about 10 miles away so needed to give the van a good test before the 100 mile drive home, in fact that pleased with the site and area we have booked 5 nights for next month. I have found if you see one bad review out of a lot of good one's it's usually down to the attitude of the person writing the review not the wardens.

Second Enroute Visit

This was the second time we've used this site enroute to Northumberland & to visit friends. The first time was a swift 2 nights but this time we stayed for 4 nights. The proximity to the A66 means it's never going to be completely quiet but if you usually live in the suberbs the road noise just becomes background sound. The site is extremely well maintained & terraced to a degree so you can pitch to make the most of the view. Lots to see & do in the area so it's worth extending an enroute stay.
