September Holiday

This was the third site that we stayed at during our September Holiday, and was one that we have used many times before, and as always the site is very well maintained the new toilet block is excellent. The area has many great places to see and enjoy, Sidmouth, Seaton, Budleigh Salterton, and Exmouth to name but a few. Even though you have to travel to see these places, the journeys are easy. We will definitely use the site again, and the wardens deserve a mention, as they are excellent. Only negative is the Wifi which should be improved.

We had a lovely stay at this woodland setting with plenty of pitch choice. The whole site was kept absolutely immaculate, so clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The washrooms and toilets were nice and warm and spotless and there were washing machines etc. in the facilities room. There are plenty of water points around the site and a nice dog walking area.Bird feeders were everywhere and topped up to encourage the birds which was a lovely touch. There is a nice pub called the Hare and Hound only five minutes walk away which is very good and dog friendly, they do a fantastic carvery which is very good value.I will definitely be returning to this site next year.I have been told that it is a picture in the Spring.

Putts Corner

Stayed for 5 nights at the end of September and enjoyed fantastic weather. Facilities on the site are excellent and were always clean. There was some traffic noise every morning from the adjacent roads from about 7.00am onwards but it wouldn't stop us using this site again. We were on a serviced pitch and would agree with a previous comment that they are a little tight - access would be difficult for larger caravans without a mover. It was our first visit to that part of Devon and thoroughly enjoyed it - we are already planning to visit again next year.

Good Choice

A good choice for us as the site is nearby, and yet we found lots to do that we didn't know about.  Forest walks were a favourite.  Lovely site, not too big. Suggest doing a circuit before pitching as a variety of pitch options, though not a problem wherever you stop if it's just a short break.  Pub very busy but food pretty good.

A Lovely Break

We had a lovely break at Putts Corner. Easy accessible, good pitches, friendly staff. Unfortunately some cars still go against the one way system! A good base to visit Seaton, Sidmouth, Honiton, Exmouth & Exeter to name just a few. Will visit again. :)

Back after a three year break

We chose Putts Corner as a number of fully serviced pitches have been created.   We had only booked in for a couple of nights.  However, we did feel that the fully serviced pitches were really crowded and somewhat tight in width. When arriving on 23 September, our greeting at Reception was rather brusque, something we are not used to at Club sites!  The brusqueness continued when calling in on a couple of other occasions.  What a shame. Otherwise, the site and facilities are attractive and immaculately maintained by the incumbent wardens.  There are a great many tall and mature trees on the site, so pick your pitch carefully to avoid permanent shade.

The inconsiderate minority

This is my first (and possible last) review of a Club site after 11 years as a member. The site was surprisingly busy considering I stayed mid-week out of the school holiday period. It felt quite claustrophobic with lots of vans crammed into a reasonably small site. 10 pitches/acre  seems the norm for most Club sites, but this site has crammed in almost 17 pitches per acre! However, the wardens did a sterling job keeping it clean and tidy as usual.  My main gripe is with the inconsiderate few who cut across the pitch I was on (105), to take a shortcut to the dog walk. What little privacy I had on this site was interrupted by people crunching across the gravel on my pitch really close to the side window of my van, and also wandering between the back of my pitch and the hedge! I think I'll stick to CL sites during busy periods from now on.

Road noise

We arrived later than planned so not much choice left. The plot we had was in shade and so much road noise. Wi fi hit and miss but eh I'm on holiday so I am not that bothered. Lovely shower blocks but could do with more pressure. Good pub on corner with good food. Would I go again....no.

Happy Holiday

Stayed at Putts Corner for 6 nights. Enjoyed the site and surrounding area especially the Donkey Sanctuary and Seaton Tramway Site up to usual high CC standard. Facilities excellent and all very clean and tidy. Good meal at the Hare & Hounds (useful discount on meals). Our pitch was quite large and sunny even with our neighbours large awning. Just one small thing, the washing up water could have been hotter. Would visit again

Fabulous site

Everything about this site is good apart from Wi-Fi which is slow and kept dropping out. Two toilet blocks meant that if one was closed for cleaning the other was open. Lovely easy stroll to hare & hounds pub which was  very large and busy with people eating, we had lunch (excellent) and dinner (not quite as good as hoped) but met many people who eat there regularly and have  never been disappointed so perhaps we were just unlucky.  Would go to both site and pub again - in our opinion best site visited so far
