perfect for stopover off M1 but worthy of longer stay

We recently stayed for the fifth time. All visits have been as an overnight stop when travelling on M1 and the site is perfect for this. It is also nice when travelling to be greeted by such friendly and helpful wardens. The site itself has a relaxing atmosphere and as we keep saying we must at some stage stay a little longer - all in all a greatly recommended club site.

Lovely site

We had 6 nights at Poolsbrooke, unfortunately the sat nav took us through Staveley then through an Industrial Estate and finally on to the site which wasn't a great first impression. On leaving we realised the motorway was actually 1/2 mile in the other direction making it very easy to access and a much nicer entrance. The site itself is very well kept and the wardens are helpful and friendly. The country park is very close and is wonderful for cycle rides for all ages with various lengths of tracks. There is a super play park there but I did miss an on site park for my eldest child to play at independently in the evenings. The town of Staveley is nothing special but Chesterfield was nice and further away in Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton. We spent most of our time there and probably should have booked Chatsworth instead although we did enjoy our stay at Poolsbrooke.

Best facilities as yet!

Planned to stay here on our way from South back to Scotland. Just off the M1 and a suitable 4hour drive from our departure point. What a clean and pretty site this is. The hard standing great and the shower block one of the best We have seen. A delight. Booked again for next week.

great location, beautifully presented

It's a lovely site with easy access to M1 for overnighting but also on the dooorstep of beautiful North Derbyshire with lots of indoor and outdoor attractions well worth visiting. We live locally and stayed five nights enjoying our new caravan. Pools Brook Country Park is pretty and ideal for easy strolling and dog-walking. Fishing is available in the large lake. Shopping is convenient in nearby Stavely. The park is immaculately kept, the shower block spotless.

In Pools Brook Country Park there is a play park for children alongside a pavilion serving snacks, ice cream etc.  Just a few minutes stroll from the club site!

Great start to our holiday

We used Poolsbrook as a stop over at the start of our three week tour of Scotland travelling up from Bournemouth. Excellent location easily accessible from M1. The site and the adjoining Country Park just make such a relaxing break in your journey - as well as being very tempting for a return and longer stay.

A great site for peace and quiet

First time using this site, wanted somewhere as a stop off enroute and chose this.It is very nicely laid out with plenty of space between pitches.Facilities are second to none . The wardens are very efficient and friendly. As stated this is within a country park and therefore superb for some nice walks particularly if you are a dog owner. The town of Stavely is near and has a Morrissons store with adequate parking if you are like us Motorhomers.Obviously there are numerous pubs and restaurants also. This is a very popular site so make sure you book well in advance in the busy summer periods.

Two nights away

First time been to this site, really like it, very clean and modern toilet bloke, great walks for dogs. Kids were out and about a bit early on Sunday morning, but apart from that really liked it and will be back for a longer stay hopefull over the summer. Literally 5 mins off the M1, very easy access to pitches and plenty of space.
