Great Site

Visited for the first time this Spring. Since then we've returned twice more and are already planning our 4th visit. Clean and well laid out, friendly staff and a great location! Loads to do in the adjacent park and nice extra touches like the baker and icecream van that comes around most days. If this site had been made by the well known lager company as in the TV advert, it would have included an olde world pub next door - then it would have been perfect!

One of our favorite sites

We love this site when we can book onto it!! we live 90 mins drive away and we call it "our piece of heaven". Being welsh we are bias as we love everything about this site and Pembrey park. Its a fantastic location we park our motorhome up and we either use our bikes or walk into the park for the whole of our stay. The family has cycled into Llanelli along the cycle path which is a few hours round trip. The beach is beautiful and stretches into Burry Port which is a small harbor village with a few shops, chip shops, a train station, and is on a bus route.  In Pembrey park there is a small golf course, play park, dry ski slope, miniature railway ride, a toboggan ride, along with the beach.  The camp site is very busy so all areas are well used but the wardens work tirelessly to keep it in tip top condition.  The wardens are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.  Local milk van comes around before 9am every morning selling orange juice, eggs, and milk in bottles.  Lovely to hear children asking why is the milk in a bottle!! Very friendly site, we love it, a big thumbs up from us.

lovely wardens

very helpful and clean unfortunately we had a caravan next to us with a bird in the awning which kept making noises even when the owners were away, the also had a small dog that barked every time another dog walked past they should have been at the back not by the road. children riding bikes very near car and caravan and had to speak to them. when we returned from cycling very nice path along beach a caravan next door has arrived and there was bikes and scooters skateboards and their car all around our caravan and I had to ask warden to speak to them it was not school holidays yet so was surprised so many children were there. will return as we enjoyed he cycling but make sure not the week before the school holidays

One of our favourite sites

A very pleasant and well kept site. Facilities are excellent. Love the peace and quiet of this site. Situated in a superb area with plenty of 'flat' walks, either through the country park or along the coastline. Great for cyclists too - you can cycle along the Millenium / Sustrans route through to Swansea and the Gower. The 5mph speed limit through the site is normally respected so it makes it safe for children. Dog owners are also respectful.  This site definitely gets the thumbs up!

Nice few days but not our cup of tea

Nice site. Facilities clean as would be expected from a cc site.  Decent size pitches. Mix of grass and hard standing.  Good service from milk van and bakery visiting site. Good pub Brewers Fayre near to llanelli. Had two meals there which were both excellent. Pub overlooks a beautiful lake. Staff helpful. Had to buy an outdoor aerial for tv as could get no signal at all.  Warden said it was hit and miss whether you got a signal - some pitches did and some didn't.  Why don't they put booster points on the hook up points as lots of other sites do? Country Park next door ok but don't bother if you just want a drive round in the car for a look as it will cost you a fiver!  It was raining heavily and we were curious as to what was in there. It's a strange set up. Lots of space and not a lot going on. Beach is nice when weather is fit though. Tenby is a must to visit, otherwise not a lot to see in the area. Burry port nothing much.  We were moving to another site in Wales but changed this to Devon where we are now.   Finally, everything is operated by keys and fobs. Keys for toilet block. Fob to get onto the site and same to get off!   Seems to be all negative but it's not really.   Give the site a try and maybe you will have a better experience than us.

Wow what a site!

Just returned from five very relaxing nights at Pembury. The wardens have worked hard to keep a tidy, spotless and well organised site. Given it location I would suggest that this will be very popular with families and if you're not that way inclined I would suggest you stay away during the school holidays as I would suspect it will be very noisy (with happy children) so if its peace and quiet you want its available in spades if you pick you moments! First rate, another fantastic CC site.

Well laid out site

Stayed for 1 week from Saturday 27th June. First night was less than peaceful due to large family group congregating outside their vans until late, but they left on Sunday and the remainder of our stay was very peaceful and most enjoyable.  Pitches seemed large and well laid out, one section is in straight lines but the rest are more curved and less regimented. Bakery delivery very useful, lovely vanilla slices!  Great cycling in the park and down the cycle path to Llanelli, we didnt try to Swansea. Wardens cheerful and pleasant, toilets usual CC standard, but EIGHT Privacy cubicles in the ladies, way too many, a couple more showers instead of some of these would be preferable. Would recommend the site.

Lovely location

We spent 4 nights here mid-June and as it was our first visit, went out and about as well as walking to the lovely beach through the Country Park, which is about a 20 minute walk away. We loved it, although would imagine it is very different in high season. As it was, we were kept awake until after 1.00am one night with 3 families who chose to congregate in their awning next to us and made a lot of noise + children on bikes + dogs - no thought for other campers. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay and would go back - just would remember to avoid a weekend there in summer.

Outstanding Site

Just come back from spending 6 nights at Pembrey and what a fantastic site it is . Best of both worlds with lovely woodland and beach walks . So much to see and do in the park .The wardens are so nice and helpful and keep the site spotless. We was so sad to leave and will defiantly be returning next year .
