Usual brilliant stay

The wardens are really friendly and helpful. We always stay at the end of September as the steam rally is on in the park. The beach is amazing and there are endless walks within the park. The car is little used!

Friendly Clean Site

We stayed here for two weeks this August and after turning up late on the back of a recovery truck, the staff and other campers could not of been more helpful. The site was clean and tidy. The daily visit from the bread and milk and Ice cream van were a nice added extra. The location close to Pembrey country park was fantastic the beach was lovely with the exception of the huge Jellyfish, but that added to the adventure. The horse riding centre and cycle path were fantastic well. My only criticism and this is not fault of the caravan club of the site areas of the country park are in need of money spending. This was however a good base to explore if you wanted but there was more than enough to keep us all occupied with out moving the car days on end (good job as it was broken) For me a the fact we would go back is a sign its a good site.

Good as ever but starting to look a little tired

Thoroughly enjoyed a glorious October weekend at this familiar haunt. The location is superb with an excellent team of Wardens. The site however is in need of some Tlc and is beginning to look tired against some of the other CC sites on the network. The toilet block and washing up facilities are in need of an upgrade. The CC pricing structure is also making getting away to CC sites an expensive option.

Nice site close to cycle path and top class beach

Typical Caravan Club site – clean, well-kept facilities and friendly staff. We chose a grass pitch but could have had a hardstanding had we preferred. We were fortunate to be there for the Pembrey Park Steam Fair – very good photo opportunities especially when a number of traction engines went round the club site to show them off. Good access to local cycle path into Llanelli and beyond – this was one of the reasons we choose to stay at Pembrey. However we noticed with some concern, the number of drivers who believe the ‘5 mph’ rule applies to everyone else except them….mm. This is the main reason why I have only given a 4 star overall rating - I am concerned a child could be injured due to an irresponsible driver exceeding the site 5 mph speed limit. The speed limit is there for a reason and we should all follow this important rule - its really not that hard to do! We can recommend the chip shop in Burry Port - you may have to wait whilst your order is being cooked but the wait will be worth it! This is a lovely part of Wales especially the Gower and Rhossili.

A Splendid few Days

We two active oldies really enjoyed a splendid time at this site at the end of September, out of season. It is a lovely location for flat, scenic coastal walking with a huge, lovely long sandy beach. This stretches some 500 yards out to seawards when the tide is low. The site itself is set within the generally open and partly wooded Pembrey country park and provides all the amenities and to the high standard generally associated with our Club. A few days after we left there was to be a 'steam rally' in the park and an amazing collection of caravans and motorhomes began assembling on the park land, not the Cv Club site, i hasten to add. I guess that week-end might have been busy and best avoided if you don't like crowds or 'steam rallies', but obviously hundreds do! I would guess the site to be hugely and rightly popular with families in the holiday season.

Gr8 Site

This is a really good site in a fabulous location. If you want to ditch the car Bury Port is just a short cycle ride or walk along a flat coastal path where you will find a supermarket, butcher and other local shops. The Cornish Arms at Bury Port serves excellent food that isn't too pricey. There are lovely walks through the country park to a quiet, clean beach. We walked for three hours and hardly saw anyone! If you like walking there's also a forest on the doorstep for lovely woodland walks. In the country park is a dry ski slope, a riding centre and bike hire. We also cycled to Kidwelly where we visited the castle. The site is to the usual Caravan Club standard: clean with good size pitches. The toilet blocks have a sufficient number of showers to limit queuing, and there is a smaller block so when cleaning is taking place there's no need to wait for the loo or a wash. Have visited this site five times and will definitely go again. We love it there!

Pembrey Country Park

We had a very enjoyable stay at this site,it is very handy for the park and sea with it's lovely beaches. The site was clean and tidy also toilet and shower block very clean.Wardens were always friendly. As we were visiting the Autumn steam rally we didn't travel around the area but what we did see was very nice. We would stay on this site again, roll on next year.

Full steam ahead

We hit this site on the steam rally weekend. An absolutely fabulous weekend with model steam engines chugging around the site, a sight to behold. There are also classic cars and motorbikes for the engineering buffs. In the heart of the national park you will be hard pressed to find a better location with nature trails, activities for kids, vast sandy beaches and large grassed areas all a short walk through the site. One downside, the toilet block is now looking a little dated and needs a makeover soon.

Weekend break

This site is a great for a weekend break, has been our favourite for a long time. Conveniently placed in the park for the beach, walks and sight seeing around the coast. Wardens  (Bill  & Julie) very helpful and courteous and has the time of day for a friendly chat. Roll on our next visit.Laughing
