Good site
We enjoyed our stay at this site. Everywhere was well kept and the surroundings were very attractive.There is good spacing of vans and the layout with the different areas was good.There is a nice permitted path alongside the site
for strolling or dog walking.The relief wardens Sue and Mick were really brilliant. They were so helpful and cheerful and couldn't have been better. Sue always had time for a good chat .
Mick was always busy keeping everywhere in great order.
It's a good day out to enjoy the coast from here. So not for you if that's what you want.But Craster and Beadnell are worth a visit.
There are 2 excellent National Trust properties within a few miles. Wallington and Cragside are both a good day out with lots to see.Hadrian's wall and visitor centre at Housestead is an hour away but worth a visit.
Rothbury is a lovely place with free parking and a riverside setting. The Rothbury family butchers do excellent sausages and pies.
Squirrels and birds can be seen at the site.
Only downside were the people with yapping dogs who spoilt the peace and quiet from time to time.
