We have been trying to get to this site for the last 2 years but it was worth the wait. The wardens really do work as a team and work very hard to maintain the site, a credit to them all. on our second day there a couple had parked in the overnight stop area and the lady had a serious problem that required hospitalization. the wardens pulled out the stops for the Husband and nothing was too much for them to help him, mobiles don't seem to work in this area! Sadly she later died. our sympathy to the family. This did not affect our holiday and stay on site, for those that know him, Dodger really enjoyed his stay and thanks all those new friends that came to say hello to him, at 15 years of age he is getting on but still enjoys the great caravan club sites and the members and wardens who like dogs! this site has the best two dog walks in the south. A great site with excellent wardens, first class facilities, all they need are speed guns to be able report site users for speeding, you the owner of the Hymer caravan doing at least 30MPH know why there is a 5MPH speed limit! The Caravan club can be very proud of this site. We will be returning there!
Great site
Stayed here for a four day break and loved it so much have already booked for a week. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the facilities are exceptional and there are more than enough for the size the site despite being full I never saw more than one person in the toilet block! I have a dog and the dog walking area is of a good size and there is a smaller one also, but there is also a big forest on the doorstep! Thoroughly recommend

Superb site
We have recently stayed at this site for the third time this year, which is a clear indication of how much we like it! The grounds and facilities are very well maintained by an excellent team of friendly wardens and it is very well situated to enjoy the diverse environments of the New Forest, local coastal walks and beaches, as well as pleasant nearby towns such as Christchurch, with Bournemouth not far away. There are also added bonuses such as the wildlife area, good play area for children, freshly baked croissants and baguettes on weekends, homemade cakes and a good range of other food and supplies in the site office. We cannot understand those who have been disappointed by the site. We will most certainly return again before too long!
Not like it used to be
After returning for the 3rd time to this site, couldn't belive that the site wasn't kept how it used to be.weeds and long grass ever where.i told our friends how well kept it was so disappointed when we got there.no problem with staff but perhaps you should look how southlands keep their site.
DISSAPOINTED
we wanted a few days away with our 2 dogs so we thought lets go back to Black Knowl but it was full, never mind this one is still in the new forest..by name only..its 3/4 mile walk on a very fast busy road with no pavement to get to the dog walks so i was not impressed.
as for the site i cannot find fault with it other than the location
sorry to say i will not be backĀ
Fantastic site
Stayed at this site a couple of times. Immaculately kept, good pitch size, bathroom facilities spotless, fantastic children's play area. Good dog walking facilites. Great fish & chip van!
Fabulous break
Just returned from a 4 night break, June 2015. Beautifully kept site. Really clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely return to this one if we get the chance.

Peaceful Break
Stayed at New Forest Centenary Site for 10 days from 20th April. Overall was impressed with the level of cleanliness, facilities (decent toilet block, excellent dog walks and very good children's play area (although no children on this trip)), decent sized/well maintained pitches (our chosen pitch was perfectly level - possibly lucky but others looked pretty much the same) and friendly/helpful wardens. Being located on the Hampshire/Dorset border provided an excellent base for exploring the New Forest/Southampton as well as venturing into Dorset (Bournemouth, Poole and Wimbourne visited on this trip). One of our favourites was the sea views provided from the cliffs at Milford-On-Sea which was about 15 minute drive from site. As our stay was during school time we did not experience any issues with children but can see problems highlighted in some other reviews during school holiday periods as it is a very family friendly site. The only negative was the mobile fish & chip van which visited on Wednesdays as the quality of the "cod" (looked like deep fried frozen shop fish) was very poor and not value for money. We would definitely consider revisiting this site in the future but not during school holiday periods.
Kids
Having just returned home after 7 nights of kids running through my pitch kids riding bikes and scooters round the toilet blocks and around the site until gone 10 at night even kids playing ball and riding bikes In the dog field needless to say no one picked them up on any the above.wonderful location wonderful facilities but if your after peace and quiet try somewhere else.

Great site for discovering the New Forest
Our second caravan club site and in all honesty we cant fault it. Excellent facilities, clean and helpful staff. An ideal location for discovering the New Forest. Would stay here again.
