Lazy Days!

Just back from a long weekend at the New Forest Centenary Site. Had a lovely time at this site. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Facilities are the best, always clean and showers great and hot. Pitches well spaced out, hard standing or grass. We opted for grass at the back of the site, ended up being on our own for two days, very peaceful. Had a lovely walk around the old airfield, great if your into that sort of thing. Enjoy!

Peaceful but isolatedI

Arrived for a 4 night motorhome stay with 2 dogs. Surprised how deserted the grass pitches were, hurray! 2 pleasant fenced dog areas, a well stocked, reasonably priced shop, fish & chip van on Thursday and Saturday 5 til 7pm. Nothing in the immediate area other than the Airfields memorial 5 minutes walking distance away. Immaculate throughout. A credit to all concerned.

Club at its best

From the moment that we arrived to the time we left we were treated courteously and professionally. The reception staff explained that we could pick a pitch at our leisure and were helpful with local info. We loved the site so much that we decided to stay on an extra day. Well done and thank you to all the staff at the site, you are doing a great job. Thank you.

Perfect site

We have recently returned from a short stay at this site, and can honestly say it's the best one we've ever been to ! We did visit it when it first opened , and could see its potential then , and now the shrubs and trees are established , you can find the perfect pitch in the many areas there are to choose from Other than problems with the wi fi which is countrywide , everything else was well above standard . From the welcoming, helpful wardens , the well stocked shop with long opening hours, the spotless two toilet blocks that also stayed open longer in the mornings than most ,with extra toilets to use as well , to the beautiful layout in the peaceful setting with all the amenities for children and dog walkers , this site was perfect in every way , and we would have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending it ! Don't change anything - it's perfect !

A well laid out and very friendly site

We chose this site because of its proximity to the south coast and new forest. We also wanted to visit Beaulieu which is nearby. Beaulieu is a great value day out, book in advance or use your caravan club membership for discount. As a bonus we realised the Sammy Miller motorcycle museum is very close too, thoroughly recommended! The site is excellent, the wardens really friendly, I notice some reviewers say the dog area is muddy but it had been very dry leading up to our visit and this was no problem at all for us. There is loads to do on the south coast, sadly some of the roads are very congested, particularly around Bournemouth, but a bit of map work avoided the worst. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our two labradoodles now know every inch of the dog areas! Highly recommended, don't miss the twice weekly visits by the fish and chip van!

The Jewel in the Crown

This has to be the best site in the club all made even better by the staff who are second to none. If you want that little haven in the New Forest this is the place , and a great place for that peaceful walk with great scenery on your doorstep, just a shame we couldn't of stayed a little longer.

peaceful site

Stayed at this site for 3nights from 20th April, lovely well thought out site. Great playground for kids and 2 very good dog walk areas - not just a small strip of grass but good size and interesting walks. Very friendly and helpful wardens who freshly bake croissants and baguettes every morning - nice touch. Toilet block well thought out, especially with the family bathroom Can't wait to get back there for another peaceful, tranquil stay

Had a wonderfull long weekend stay.

Had a wonderful long weekend stay at this site, we picked the week end after Easter so there was still some chilled activity going on from Easter but I must say the children were very well behaved and it was good to see that their parents had made them wear safety hats while using their cycles. Come the Sunday evening when we returned to the site after a day out the transformation was something else, no children and lots of new caravans set up, this in turn made the site feel like an adult only site……. very nice but even I missed the sound of the children but there again I am hard to please :-) The facilities are first class and the site is very, very well kept, the children’s playground was just right for our granddaughter (3 years old) when she and her parents visited for the day. The site has a very friendly and welcoming staff (to all the staff) thank you guys you were great. We will be back.

Good Family Site

Nice clean site with good facilities and a great location for exploring the New Forest and the Dorset coastline. Found the hard standing site difficult for underfloor comfort in awning and tough to drive standard pegs into ground - had to purchase steel pegs from the site office. WiFi is also variable, which is fine if you want to avoid the Internet but most don't!! Overall a good site & I will visit again but select a grass pitch next time 🙂
