Excellent site

Been here many times and our go to site just for a chill out. Our thanks to Sean ( and I think Marianne?). We have changed our outfit to a campervan. I messed up our booking online as I only booked one night but wanted 3 and also only put in one person instead of two. Tried to rectify it online but ended up leaving a message on the sites phone. Great service from Sean who rang me back and from Marianne who rang us on the second day to say I didn’t have to come back to the office that morning as all sorted. Thankyou so much. Everything lovely and clean. Had a lovely walk over to Port Logan took about 40 mins.

A useful stop

Easy to find. Warm welcome from staff. As we wanted a non ehu pitch, not much choice, but the three available were on the front row facing the sea. Like most CAMC sites the pitches slope from back to front, so in order to enjoy the view we had to use levelling blocks, which is a bit of a pain when you are taking your van off site each day. Facilities were clean, plenty of bins (although the labels for content were faded) and elsan points. The elsan points were quite high and difficult to empty a cassette that was only just half full. Dont usually use site facilities, but did use the showers which were clean with plenty of hot water, and easy to operate. Plenty of hooks available, but as usual stools too low to sit on and get your trousers on easily with out them getting wet. Stayed here for three nights in order to visit Port Logan, Port Patrick and the Logan Botanic Gardens. Quiet and peaceful nights. Site not full of badly behaved dog (owners) as is so often the case in CAMC sites. Lots of birds and plants along the foreshore.

New England Bay comes back to life !

Have pitched at this site regular for 12 years, sadly the last couple of years we completely fell out of love with it. Return trip this year, amazed it again has a shop, gas, open toilet block, amazing welcoming friendly wardens so good to have 😀🙌 it’s a wonderful area, with lots to do and visit. Previous New England Bayers if you stop going like we did, think again, NEB it’s has come back to life.

A Great Time Away

This is a large site with plenty of space, well set out and adjacent to the beach. The facilities were well maintained, clean and the showers were hot and no push button nonsense! The site staff were helpful, friendly and very accommodating. There are loads of walks in the area and it is a very dog friendly place. It’s definitely worth visiting the Mull of Galloway and Portpatrick. The site is remote and you’ll need to visit Stranraer for fuel and food shops etc. The Ship Inn in Drummore is a lovely small pub, dog friendly and 5 minutes away by car. As always on the west coast of Scotland the weather can be wild at times although we got a fair amount of sunshine which always helps.

new wardens

We've been going to new England bay for over 12 years and it was great to see 4 new and helpful wardens .the past two seasons weren't good times for us at the site with two of the previous wardens un helpful and just rude. as we didn't know their would be new wardens we thought we may go else where, so we were so please to find Sean and Ali lovely and helpful. Sorry never got the names of the other two wardens but lovely and helpful. Ever where was mush cleaner and starting to look like it use to be. keeping the games room locked is a good rule as unsupervised kids had been breaking stuff. starting the shop up again was great when they get fresh milk and ice-cream then it will be great.looking forward to our next time as we can go twice a year now theirs nice wardens. All in all a great place and a good time had by all, three dogs and one wife . (wife court one fish). keep up the good work guys.

The best wardens ever!

This was our third visit to New England Bay. We needed to amend our stay to add extra days. The wardens went over and above what they needed to do in order to assist us. Such great people. Most wardens on most sites are very helpful, but this was different. Well done guys, hopefully see you again next year.

Peace and quiet in a superb location

Just spent a few days here. Great location and plenty of choice of pitches. Wardens very welcoming on arrival. Toilets and showers were lovely and warm and spotlessly clean. The views from the site over the yellow flowering gorse to the sea are amazing. A morning walk on the beach is only 100 yds away. New club WiFi working well and mobile phone signals strong on EE and Vodafone. If you are wanting peace and quiet, beautiful views, a beach and good facilities, this is the place.

Great location, clean and friendly.

Stayed March '24. Friendly and helpful wardens. Showers are the cleanest and warmest I've experienced on any site. Pitch areas offer good choices for all tastes and requirements with easy access to service points. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Lovely welcome, brilliant site

We received a lovely warm and friendly welcome and immediately felt comfortable. Great site and what a location! It wasn't busy when we were there and we only had time in our schedule for the one night, but managed to get down to the beach to see the sun setting and then rising in the morning. Hope we get to come back some time.

Fantastic site

Fantastic site which is wild and remote and if you want peace and quiet then this is absolutely perfect. The staff on site are very helpful and friendly and offered advice on arrival of where to pitch as Storm Agnes was approaching and we took the advice and had a great sheltered and quiet pitch. The staff were very knowledgeable and informative and nothing was any trouble to them. We had a fantastic time with walks along the beach and time out visiting the lighthouse and nearby botanical gardens and lots of nice beaches where we saw seals and birds. We would like to thank the staff at would hope to return some time
