lovely drive up thru the mountains to reach the site. site facilities clean enough but not enough of them . usual story , not enough showers and shut at stupid times for cleaning , inconvienient for patrons. Trees and shrubbery have been allowed to grow too high and wild thereby blotting out all the beautiful mountains. Good for mountainbikers and theres a lovely circular walk out of the site clockwise , past the local graveyard , takes around an hour. Site is a bit isolated so take plenty grub with you if you do not want to drive to civilisation. Plenty summer midges there too , so dont expect to be sitting out of an evening with a newspaper and bottle of beer. summarise , nice located quiet site , not really child friendly and in need of a enthusiastic arborist. Glad to have spent 4 nights there chilling ,but i dont think its a site i would visit again. ps no probs with the wardens ,they were great .
Superb
Had 5 nights here in late July/ early August.
The wardens were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The site is in a truly stunning location. We’re were lucky enough to spot a golden eagle soaring above the site, as well as seeing several deer in the field nearby the site. We visited much in the local area and would highly recommend a visit to Plockton, particularly for the seal boat trip.
It is a great base for exploring this beautiful area but you do need transport as it is relatively remote.
Would certainly come again.

Lovely welcome and great staff
We spent 5 nights at Morvich with our motorhome and motorbike.
We would highly recommend this wonderful site to anyone that is visiting the area.
Judith, Simon and every single member of staff made us so very welcome and went above and beyond their call of duty to keep the site up to it's immaculate standard.
All the staff were so friendly the whole time we were there, making us feel like we were their friends too and asking us where we were going to be riding / had ridden that day.
The site is right up there as being one of the best we have stayed on.
The wristband system they had running during Covid for the toilets and showers was a great idea and it saddened us to see those who were staying at the site completely ignoring this, you know who you are and shame on you all.
Big thanks to all who made our stay at Morvich so lovely and thank you for the help you gave us when we had to make an urgent call, when we had no signal, sometimes the little things do mean a lot and it was very much appreciated xx
The best, most accomodating Staff
Stunning location, close for Skye and the west coast of the highlands but what really topped it off was the determination of all of the staff to provide first class, clean and tidy facilities whilst doing their level best to make our stay perfect. Nothing was too much trouble, you can clearly see that they get a great deal of pleasure doing what they do, just perfect.
Excellent site
Apart from the stunning location, helped along with some nice weather James and his good wife were really friendly and professional in all their engagements with us (something that is really greatly appreciated when new to this scene.)
A great couple doing a great job in tight enough circumstances through the end of a covid lockdown
Will definitely plan to return and spend more time in this site another time

Did not want to come home!
After being delayed for a year , we finally got to Morvich and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Easy access to the site and a very special location, mountains all around and we woke to ice, snow and mysterious fog on the tops, magical 😄 Good dog walks beside the river and fantastic hikes from the site. Wardens were absolutely brilliant, helpful, efficient and so very friendly. Well placed for lots of breathtaking sightseeing , couldn’t fault it. A special place indeed. Not forgetting Gordon , the assistant warden’s lovely dog, Dottie says see you soon 🐕
Another excellent stay at Morvich
First trip after the restrictions on the Covid Restrictions were relaxed and after rescheduling the dates 3 times, finally made it to Morvich.
Replacement wardens who were great and very helpful and actively out and about maintaining the high standards normally found here. I mainly used my own facilities as I couldn't be bothered with the queues which sometimes formed due to limiting facilities. Always amazes me that folk spend huge amounts on well equipped vans, yet are determined not to use them, even during a pandemic?
Couldn't get the wifi to operate (I have an annual pass) and the TV wasn't working from the bollard, but overall had a good few night.

Very good few days
Stayed for 5 nights as part of tour of Scotland. Easy arrival only mile or so from main road. Stunning location with mountains all around. Very quiet and peaceful. Good location for exploring surrounding area including southern Skye and Applecross. Would happily stay here again.
Lovely site but very remote
As with most CMC sites Morvich is well maintained with good spotless facilities and pleasant staff. The site is very remote with the nearest supermarket and decent shops about 20 mins drive at Kyle just before the new Skye Bridge. The scenery is stunning and there are lovely walks from the site. The small harbour village of Plockton (Hamish Macbeth murder mysteries by M C Beaton are based on this village) on the banks of Loch Carron is worth a visit and the fish & chips from there are delicious.
