Lovely campsite

We stayed here in our roof tent , for two nights, what a brilliant site , so well maintained, showers and toilets spotless, the wardens are very helpful and very friendly , and do a excellent job , the views are amazing, we have been members of the club for ten years , and would say this site is one of the best we have ever stayed at, the pitches are a really good size, we cannot fault this site , and the drying room is great, we would definitely recommend, and we will be back again hopefully before the end of the season.

Great site and very helpful staff

An excellent location and well kept site. I was there on a hill walking holiday and as well as a warm welcome, Judith gave me an update on the mountain weather at check in. Very thoughtful. Having left the site I discovered that I'd lost a set of keys for my bike lock and rack. Although not found immediately, Judith remembered my email and contacted me later to let me know that they had been found. Then she arranged delivery back to my home address. A very kind and much appreciated service well beyond the requirements of the role. I will certainly be visiting again (still some hills in the area to complete).

Sublime

I have stayed at many Club sites over the years but this has to be one of the best, if not the best. The location is absolutely sublime whether you want total peace & quiet, access to Skye or wonderful walks. Much has already been said about Judith and Simon which I can only echo. When they eventually decide to retire from being Wardens it will be a sad day for all who know that their professionalism, attitude and kindness is second to none. Great facilities at the site, water is hot both in dishwashing AND the showers (which, sadly is not always the case on Club sites), pitches are generous & level and the grounds are kept immaculate. Oh - and no midges even though I visited in July!

Super site, stunning location

This is our third visit to Morvich club site. It is absolutely beautiful and made even better by Judith and Simon, the wardens/managers. On Judith’s ‘bad day’, referenced in a previous post, which I’m fairly sure I recognise, she still delivered a parcel, with a big smile, directly to our van. Have to agree with Andy Ofler, below, ‘above and beyond’. Our stay is for 18 nights, I say is, as we are still here as I write this. Our original booking was for nine nights here and nine at Maragowan but the beauty and tranquility of Morvich is such that we amended our booking to remain here. The facilities are fine, clean and in good order although perhaps now becoming dated. Some use the description ‘tired’ but I think that’s not quite right! For the outdoor and or wildlife enthusiasts, this place is brilliant. Walks can range from a short circular stroll to major full day ridge walks - and everything in between. It’s a very peaceful site. It was nice just sitting out in the shade in the recent hot weather. We also found convenient for exploring the Isle of Skye and can recommend the Stables cafe and museum at Armadale Castle on the Sleat peninsula on Skye. Back on site, the visiting fish and chip van does excellent fish and chips.

Above and beyond was the level of service

Big shout out goes to Judith, who was having a bad day but that didn’t knock the smile off her welcome. We shared a joke at my misfortune whilst I was booked in. Judith gave me pitch recommendations as our pooch was not at his best, brilliant a pitch in full shade. Then I was offered some tape to complete a temp fix to our MH battle scar. This site is spotless in a great location with stunning views, but it seemed extra special to us by high level of customer service displayed by all working there

Gorgeous campsite with superb staff/wardens - perfect!

This was our second time staying at Morvich and it felt like coming home - Judith and Simon not only remembered us but also helped us retrieve our membership number. The first time we stayed, we'd planned to stay one or two nights, but stayed longer. We'd have loved to have stayed longer this time. The campsite is easily findable, has a lovely friendly, quiet and relaxed atmosphere, and is surrounded by stunning scenery. Judith and Simon keep the site immaculately clean, tidy, well-stocked and organised, and are super helpful. There is everything you need either on site or you can go on a shortish walk down a quiet road. It's the kind of campsite that people return to time and time again. We'll definitely be back again and highly recommend it.

Great site

Wish we could have stayed longer. Great views and the dog walk directly from the site was amazing. The facilities are great and the wardens very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic Site

Stayed three nights as part of a 5 week Scottish trip. Great site, Judith was VERY welcoming and VERY helpful with everything. Toilets and showers were clean and did what they were supposed to. Laundry facilities came in very handy. It’s a great staging post for visiting Skye and would thoroughly recommend this site.

Fantastic location

Spent two nights here. Scenery is stunning. A well-laid out spacious site which is very clean and tidy. The wardens were very friendly and cheerful. Lots of good walks/cycles around, including a circular one directly from the site. Dog friendly, especially on their feet, with the pea-gravel used on the hard standings. One to keep returning to.

Spectacular!

Just spent 9 nights here….oh my word it is so beautiful. The site is easy to find and kept beautifully clean and tidy. The scenery is just fantastic….particularly in the spring as the leaves are not on the trees so you can see right through. The mountains are amazing. There are so many lovely walks and drives around here….Skye is a must…Dunvegan castle and gardens are stunning. The site has a shed with lots of walks printed to take away……The 3-4 mile circular walk from the campsite is lovely. Balacamara is a small but lovely village on the way to the Kyle of Lochalsh, and has some great walks…we did the Skye view trail, and finished with a lovely lunch in the Cosy Corner Cafe. Basically, everything is stunning around here. You have to drive a bit to get to some….1hr 40 to Glenfinnan..…but it was worth it!
