Family visit

We stayed here for a weekend whilst visiting family in the area. The wardens were very helpful upon arrival with places to pitch and a warm welcome. The facilities could do with a freshen up, however the wardens did a good job of keeping them clean and tidy. The site itself is nicely laid out, on various levels each within little areas surrounded by trees. All pitches are grass, however even though we had heavy rain the site did not get flooded. It is a shame however that you can hear the road from the site, otherwise it would have been completely peaceful. We would certainly return should we be in the area again.

STOPPED 1 NIGHT ON THE WAY HOME FROM CORNWALL.

OH DEAR!! THE CLUB HAS BEEN LET DOWN AT THIS SITE BY THE FACT THAT THERE WAS NO SOAP IN THE TOILET BLOCK DISPENSERS. ALL THAT WAS OFFER WAS A PUSH DOWN HAND WASH DISPENSER HOWEVER, THIS WAS EMPTY IN BOTH LADIES AND GENTS TOILETS. NOT GOOD IF YOY WISH TO CLEAN YOUR HANDS AFTER USING THE LOO. WE FAIL TO SEE THAT WHEN LOOKING AT THE TIMES THAT THE BLOCKS ARE CLEANED, HOW CAN THERE BE NO SOAP OF ANY KIND AVAILABLE AT 1430?

Pre summer break

Clean well managed site. Plenty of hot water as new boiler has been installed.. Lovely and quiet in the lower field. Suggest making this area Adult Only? Top field has the fairly noisy A31 along side it. Site not advertised as having Child Play Area so can't see that complaints re this can be justified. In fact it is one reason why we chose to spend 7 days here. Peace and quiet is what some of us oldies need. All in all good value for money

Half term break

Just returned from this site, was very disappointed. The site is old and in need of a make over. On arrival there was no hot water.....the site is spread over 3 fields and I would advise having a space for families to play. We were ask to only let our daughter play behind the caravan, no balls, no bikes......the warden were always telling children off. They were not being naughty just playing. ....the children were not being loud just riding their bikes or playing hide and seek. The site needs to decide if it wants families or adult only. Noise from the rd , small store that doesn't really stock much. First time have ever not enjoyed a site.

Not the best Caravan and Motorhome site

Upon arrival the wardens advised one of the boilers was out which meant 2 showers per sex and no disabled facilities until After the bank holiday. Staff were friendly as always. Generally the site looked quiet tired and could do with a refresh, noise from the a31 was also significant. Easy access to main roads helped my commute. There was also nothing for children which is a shame as other sites do cater for children.

Just right for us

Lovely, clean site; friendly, helpful wardens - particular thanks to Geoff for his help on our departure. There are lots of things to do locally, good walks, plenty of 'pretty ' villages and small towns nearby. Some noise from the main road but not too intrusive. We will return.

Maiden Trip

My husband and I have just stayed on this site over the weekend, having just completed our first caravan trip. We live not far from the site and have always wondered what it was like. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The site was spotless, well kept and quiet. It is in a great location for getting in to Winchester and visiting the south coast and surrounding area. Despite feeling a tad stressed on arrival with the pending positing, levelling and general set up, we had a very relaxing couple of nights, and are looking forward to further caravan travels soon.

A very enjoyable stay

We stayed at Morn Hill over the May Bank holiday weekend. We were joined by friends and were very pleased with the site. We were very pleased to see Fish and Chips were available on the Friday evening and also pizza delivery. The site is spread out so you don't feel hemmed in and too close to the next van. We had a lovely visit into Winchester and a day out to Beaulieu. Our only disappointment was the water in both the showers and washing up facilities. We stayed in the lower part of the site and the water was cold everytime we used them. We love staying on Caravan club sites but this was not up to the normal standard we expect. Overall a lovely visit but they need to sort the hot water out.
