Great site

we have just spent 5 nights here and had a great time, the site is well kept and the staff are very friendly, there is plenty to do locally the village is only a 5 min walk.

Crowded

The facilities are clean and the site is conveniently located for days out, although we were disappointed with the Fairytale Farm just outside Chipping Norton. Some of the characters frightened our three year old. The wardens, quite rightly, ensure that minimum spacing is maintained between units but with the site full it felt very crowded and that anyone looking out of their unit could not help but look into the next one. The site had the feel of barracks for caravans and motorhomes, the photographs make the site look more spacious than it felt. The site is very well located for visits to villages, houses, palaces and gardens and there are excellent walks from the site. The wardens were very friendly and helpful and the morning baguettes from the shop are a must.

Yet again we loved this site

We stayed here for 5 nights in late July and although the weather was changeable we enjoyed our time here. The dog walking is great both on the site and outside of the site. We had downloaded a few local walks before we went and then enjoyed doing them. We got the bus to Bourton on the Water and my hubbie got the bus to Stow another day. Our dog was allowed on the bus which was great. It rained most of the day on our last day so we didn't walk to Batsford as planned. Very friendly site and within easy walking distance of the town for eating out. Looking forward to staying again some time.

As good as ever

We make at least one visit to this site each year, and it is always up to the excellent standard we expect from the Caravan Club. Traffic can be heard on the pitches next to the main road, but it is not hugely intrusive. Bus services are right outside the gates for anyone not wanting to drive to Stow / Stratford and the Tuesday market is always busy but worth a browse. Only 10 minutes stroll into town, you can be sure to be greeted by fellow caravanners walking the other way!

Well situated site

Well positioned site near to the wonderful town with many eateries. Pizza nights Tues and Fri on site, wonderful pizzas well worth the queue. Staff are all very friendly and pleasant and keep the site spotless. My only gripe is that the section we stayed on (pitch 121), there did not seem much spacing between pitches as there was in other areas of the site, and when you get neighbours who put their table and chairs (2 adults 2 children), within a couple of feet from the front of your caravan (instead of the back where there was a large grass area behind their van) you feel as though you are in a goldfish bowl, but that is the general lack of consideration of fellow campers, some people just don't seem to care.

Wet British summer weekend

3 night stay, arrived to a very full site in heavy rain.. Initial impressions were of very tight pitches with many cars parked across the front of their sites adding to a crammed in feel. Having circulated th main part of the site to the left of the reception all pitches other than disabled seemed to be occupied and we ended up at what appeared to be an ok location on the last spur before the exit barrier. From 5.30am the local commuter traffic starts and though hardly M25, we are in the Cotswolds none the less, frequency increases and suffice it to say once awake you would be hard pressed to ignore it. The evening periods had similar car, LGV and similar noticeably running till what felt late. TV Reception was very poor but we did get good WiFi and successfully streamed live TV via Iplayers to an IPad which thanks to the weather was a bonus. Location of site is ideal for lovers of Moreton, an easy 10 min at most walk with the noted Pubs, hotels and eateries to hand. Overall, all the usual CC services were excellent as were the staff and facilities for families seemed very good. If you are looking for open pitches, this may be a compromise to consider as space is clearly optimised to max units and a quite break ... Stay away from pitches by the exit area of the site.

Brilliant Site

We loved our two weeks on the site, the Wardens were great and extremely helpful.  The facilities were first class.  The only issues we experienced were the TV signal which was rectified with the purchase of a cable from the shop and the access to the internet which was extremely poor and very frustrating. I would have no hesitation in staying here again and have already recommended the site to others. The site is within easy access of Morton village and within easy reach of other major tourist attractions. We both had a fantastic holiday and would be happy to return back again in the future.

One of the best

A wonderful site for all the family. The wardens are so friendly and helpful, always smiling. The children's play area is second to none. There is crazy golf and clubs can be borrowed from the office. In addition there is a large field for  playing football etc and another large field for dog walking. With Morton-in-Marsh just a short walk away this site has it all and I haven't even mentioned the wood fired pizza oven which visits on Tuesdays with pizzas to die for!

18 to 22 July incl

Really nice stay. We went as a family with our 12 and 8 year olds and there weren't too many other children there - perhaps some schools had yet to break up. They do have a fish and chip van (£8 for small portion of fish and chips was rather expensive) and a pizza van (start at around £6.50) as has been mentioned which is a nice touch. Village centre is only a 10 minute walk and that has Tesco's and Co-op there so very easy to buy shopping etc. Site staff all very friendly and the place is very clean.
