First trip of 2021

Very simple review. Great site with large open well spaced pitches, immaculately kept by friendly, helpful wardens. Beautiful location, 10 minute walk from SW Coastal footpath giving access to numerous small beaches. We will be back.

Great First time at Merrose Farm Caravan Club.April 2021.

Having not been away because of lockdown we took the opportunity to try somewhere which was different. Cornwall had been on our agenda for some time. Picked Merrose on the reviews left by other members and was extremely pleased with the out come. Long drive down from Buckinghamshire but well worth it. As you approach the site there is a set of Traffic Lights which means you don’t meet any other vehicles on the way in. The Site is large but the way it is set up you don’t feel overwhelmed. Clean and Tidy and Wardens really helpful. No information in the Information Hut due to COVID so get your local maps from the Tourist Information in St Mawes. Office is closed but maps in clear containers outside front door. We stayed for a week and visited quite a few places which were really easy to get to. Didn’t get to see all of this area so will have to go back again. Stayed on pitch 7 was not able to get Tv but other pitches would be great. Have internet from Club Site and found it very helpful. Bus Stop at top of road which is hail and ride but as we tow a car was not required. Site 10 Wardens 10 Weather 10 except for high winds. Location 10. FYI came back to Buckingham via Truro on the A390, A39 ,A30, M4 much better roads. 😉 Enjoy

What a lovely site with acres of space

We stayed at Merrose Farm for 6 night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay ,site spotlessly clean, wardens really friendly and helped us stay healthy and virus free with the precautions the club had put in place during these torrid times. Lovely walks on the side roads took us into Porthscatho of three days stopping off at the Hidden Hut for refreshments, I can recommend their pasties. We took the bus on two days to travel into Truro and St Mawes, the bus stop is right outside the top of the driveway which gives you access into the site. We could not fault the site Fish & Chips available on Friday Pizzas Wednesday. We will be back later this year if they have space

Well located

We prefer smaller sites than Merrose Farm but stayed here due to the location. We were able to find a tucked away corner that made the site feel much smaller. Nice level pitches and the facilities were very clean with a good Covid Secure system. The wardens were welcoming and informative. It is worth a walk down to the Hidden Hut for lunch although it does get very busy. Worth the wait though as the food and the views are excellent. The walk takes in a farmshop that stocked a good (but expensive) range of treats as well as fresh fish and meat. The pizza van was there during our stay. Really excellent pizza with a good thin crust. It gets very busy so it is worth getting your order in for the time that you want to eat. It was very popular.

A firm favourite and surprisingly busy

We've been coming to this site for years and always find it charming, quiet, well-maintained and a lovely place to stay. The facilities are rarely used by us but the Covid arrangements seem to be well-considered and effective. The WiFi was a bit of a problem for the first couple of days but then the Airangel engineers visited and all was well. The Pizza Van (Wednesday) and the Fish and Chip van (Friday) are both worth supporting and provide excellent choices. The local pubs at St Mawes were heaving given current staycations but our favourite - the Old Quay Inn at Devoran - was fairly quiet and is definitely worth a visit - they have a stepped terrace back garden which is a sun-trap and has about a dozen 4-6-seats private areas. The Dog walk is ideal, the site is big enough to make the post-dinner walk around it (several circuits) worthwhile, and the entry traffic light is ALWAYS red when we arrive! A long way to go but worth it -

Fabulous site with wonderful staff

Well laid out spacious, tidy site good for kids and fabulous for dogs, with on-site dog field and coastal walks straight from the site. Staff are very friendly and helpful, they cannot do enough for you. Thank you lovely stay Steve, Lois and the Whippets!

Stunning site

We visited this site for the first time in April 2021. I must say I was really impressed. So peaceful, child friendly, with a amazing park for the kids. If you have dogs, the dog field is perfect to let your dog run free, in their inclosed field. The pitches have everything that is needed. They are spaced out, so you are not on top of each other. The facilities are really tidy and clean and are well looked after. The staff are very welcoming and are very helpful apon your arrival. This site now sits as one of my favourites to visit.

Very Enjoyable Stay

Stayed here in October, for majority of the time weather was just right, but we are in England so did have some rain. The site was in a good location for me, visited Perranporth, fabulous beach, really windy but the dog loved it. Also visited St Anthony Head, and St Agnes Bay. The wardens were lovely and extremely hard working, they didn't seem to stop. I felt very Covid safe on site, the showers were clean and hot. The block itself was always warm and I never had to queue. I had my own band too. The bins were emptied regularly, I don't know how many times a day. The dog exercise field was great, nicely enclosed, safe and large enough for my dog to have a bit of exercise. It was great to have sanitiser at the gate to the dog field. Look forward to returning here.

Superbly manicured and quiet site

Arrived last weekend to a warm and friendly welcome from lady behind Covid-safe screen. Had great choice of pitches from which to choose. The photos don’t do this site justice as it’s actually way more interesting with varying levels and trees...better than the boring flat car park sites that are now prevalent on many CAMC sites. The on-site dog walk (fenced field) is the best I’ve ever seen. Apart from your own garden, where else could you legitimately let your dogs off the lead to roam free in the dark! The dog field is immaculately kept as are the site grounds. We didn’t use the block facilities but the motorhome service points were plentiful and clean. Hand sanitizers were aplenty. Great work Wardens, we had a fantastic stay and were so chuffed to have enjoyed staying on your ‘labour of love’ site. Thank you.

Very happy campers!😀

We have just had four nights here. One of our favourite sites. All the staff are friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The site was looking great, not easy in the autumn weather. They work very hard. We didn’t use the facilities, preferring to use our own. But, I’m sure they were up to the usual high standard. We felt perfectly safe during this pandemic and the staff had everything in place. Big cheer to Macky,Jane ,Scott and Mel.
