We have found a gem....

We stayed here recently for 10 days. We had a lovely relaxing time and met some very nice caravaners. The site is really beautiful and in an area with lovely walks to the coast. The wardens were very friendly and helpful. Their shop was well stocked with many yummy items and the usual necessities. The site was very very quiet for a bank holiday. Which surprised us, might have been down to the dodgy weather we had in August. We made the most of the peace and quiet anyway. The traffic lights into the site are a welcome sight after some of the narrow lanes of Cornwall.  There are two shower blocks. One newer that the other. Both cleaned to a high standard. Thank you. We had great wifi on-site though our phone signal wasn't great and no 3g until we went to other areas.  To summerise, we will be using this site again. Had a great time and there is really "something" about this area of Cornwall. it gets to you and you just appreciate the gorgeous views and the wonderful food from the local cafe's and restaurants.

Cornish Yarg - or even Fish & Chips!

Helpful and friendly wardens - even when I didn't pull up at designated Arrivals area! Small but well stocked shop - visiting Fish & chip van a definite bonus! - after a day sightseeing and lunchtime concert at Truro's cathedral we needed something quick and easy! Coastal path walks well documented (though an indication of Porthbean's beach coming before Porthscatho's could have helped). Immaculate site - obviously well tended and delightful people running it. Can't ask for more

A fabulous holiday on a lovely site!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days holiday this summer on this site. The staff were most welcoming and helpful and the facilities second to none. The site is well-maintained and kept clean and tidy. It is well-placed for exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall and we enjoyed visiting some old haunts as well as exploring new places. We would definitely return in the future!

A cracking quiet site.

Just got back from a 10 day stay and it was most enjoyable. Very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities were spotless and warm. The perfect site for exploring south Cornwall. We are already looking forward to going back next year.

1st venture into Cornwall

This was our first venture into Cornwall and also the first time we had stayed on a club site. ALL the staff (and there were many ??) were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The site was kept immaculate, all of which took place not too early or too late if you like your sleep ??. The kids play area, and football field was fab, and the dog exercise area was lovely and secure, with plenty of poo bins. The location was ideal for exploring the more southerly points of Cornwall, and the cliff top walks were amazing, especially the one leading down to Towan Beach - our favourite while we were there. We stayed 10 nights and had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing time. The shop was handy and had a good selection of essentials ( and luxuries), and a fish and chip van cam around three times a week, and all in all we had a fantastic time.

AUG 2015 Holiday

We had the pleasure of staying at this site this year and will definitely return hopefully next year. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to see you. The site was kept very clean and tidy. There is a great park for the kids separate dog exercise area and a well stocked shop. Fish and chips on site was lovely. The site is very quite a well away from the main road so safe for the kids too. A good choice of grass and hard standing also.

August 2015

Not a lot more to add to this great site. Liked the idea of the reasonably stocked shop in reception more isolated sites should take this on board. Lovely friendly welcome from the lady warden and the rest of the team went about their business in a quiet and unobtrusive manner. We were lucky got a good view of the Red Arrows display at Falmouth and they flew right over the site at low level. Agree with the comment about kids on bikes and the one way system we were on a corner pitch and saw a number of near misses you can make excuses for young kids but were astounded to see a male adult on his bike with his two kids behind do two laps round our section of the site against the one way system. Would put this site up amongst the top five of sites we have been to

Lovely site

The lady warden is super helpful and very very nice, the site is great for kids, the shower blocks are ok although they could do with updating, the fish and chip van comes round 3 times a week which is very handy and the traffic light on the narrow lane is a brilliant idea, we will definitely go back.

Good place for family holiday

Merrose Farm is kept to the usual high standards of CC sites, plus a big field to play in and a great play area.  The wardens seemed nice - they kept a low profile (which was fine). The shop is well-stocked, and the information booth has what you need plus DVDs to rent.  The DVDs were handy because, know this: if you go to Cornwall you might get alot of rain.  I wonder whether more hardstanding would be appropriate, because our grass was sodden.  The weather reflected the proximity to the Atlantic, so it changed fast and was often wet.  But the Roseland is quiet, even during busy season (there were open pitches in August!), and plenty of beaches and villages.  The views out to sea and to Falmouth were brilliant. We won't hesitate to come back, but next time we'll be ready for wet days.
