Lovely Stay

We have just returned from a few days stay at Merrose Farm, and had a lovely break. The facilities were extremely clean and well cared for, and the staff really friendly. Both the dogs and ourselves  had a wonderful time, and would definately return and recommend it.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful wardens

We stayed for a week over Easter and braved storm Katie. The site is in a lovely quiet location, but within walking distance of wonderful coastal walks. The wardens were all very friendly and helpful (especially as we had a problem with our caravan).  The facilities were spotless and the dog walk field was a real bonus.  Wouldn't it be great if the Caravan Club fitted dog showers as they do abroad on sites?

Easter Break

One of our favourite sites, we visit at least once and very often twice a year. This year we were joined by Storm Katie on Good Friday - the van was rocking on the pitch and we'd decided to leave the awning in the car! - Well kept as always, good sized pitches, new (to us, anyway) wardens were friendly and helpful. Surprised to find that Easter prices were quite so high - I understand the bank holiday thing, but the site was no more than a quarter full and thus it's hardly a question of demand - and perhaps given its distance the Club might consider actually doing the opposite to attract Club members? The whole toe of Cornwall is full of magic - beaches (including a dog-friendly one year round right near the site), clear water, lovely fishing villages, rugged coastline - good for anybody looking for a UK holiday, in fact. St Mawes is worth a visit just for the ferries to Falmouth and the lovely sea views; Trellisick is National Trust and has a brilliant cove and very good woodland walk for the dogs. All in all, a great site in a fantastic location.

Great location

Coming from Devon we have visited the Roseland peninsular several time before but never stayed. This trip at the start of the season gave us the chance to explore areas we did not know about. The site could not be better positioned giving easy access to the whole area and easy access th Falmouth and beyond if you want to. Ideal for walkers and non walkers alike. Thanks to the staff who had worked hard in preparation for the start.

Space and Peace

My Wife and I chose this site to use as a base for touring Cornwall on our Harley Davidsons, which we towed on a trailer behind our RV. We were impressed by the layout and cleanliness of the site and the large easy accessible pitches. It was October 2014 so the site was quiet. Our trips out were in blazing sunshine and the King Harry Ferry was well used. It was good to return to a pitch for some peaceful lazing around in the evenings.

Return visit

Many years ago we had a lovely holiday on this site and our return has just reinforced all those great memories. The area is full of wonderful coastal walks, and the site is well maintained (as are all club sites we visit!). The wardens keep the reception well stocked with essentials and St Mawes is big enough to supply most of our needs. Some lovely National trust spots to visit in the area too.

Lovely well kept site

We loved this site so much we went back for a second visit and will probably go back again next year. Lovely beaches, lovely walks on the coastal path and The New Inn at Veryan is very welcoming and serves good food.

Four night stay

We visited this site as part of our south west tour. Not been to the roseland peninsula before. Beautiful location. Walks around site down to Rosevine beach (dog friendly) stunning beach. The hidden hut restaurent above the beach is a must. They do the best mocha I ve have ever had. Bays around area lovely. St. Mawes nearby where there is a Spar shop for essentials. We will stay longer next visit. Dog walk is amazing and all the dogs love the meet up in a morning. Will return hopefully next year.
