Lovely site, Killin is a lovely place to visit

A nice clean friendly site, beautiful views and walks, a short walk into Killin which has some interesting history, also a new cafe has opened called Over the Teacup, where the welcome was warm and friendly, beautiful homemade cakes and reasonable prices. Well worth a stay and visit.

Lovely site.

Our first time here,ideally situated for the village and only a short walk away. The Falls of Dochart are spectacular. The bridge in Killin is not for two way traffic so make sure the road is clear before you try to cross it unlike myself,not seeing a car halfway across and I had to reverse a few feet with caravan on tow. Good friendly staff too.

Relaxing site

Meeting the usual high caravan club site with excellent and cheery staff. It's a pleasant walk into Killin either along the old railway line or along the top of the loch. The wildlife is delightful particularly the bird spotting which can be done from the pitches but is also enjoyable along all the local paths (a pair of binoculars is helpful). There is a variety of cafes and restaurants in Killin which can be reached on foot plus local shops for food and supplies. We couldn't get a tv or radio signal but this doesn't detract from our experience and we shall be looking to return to one of my favourite sites.

Great site

Beautifully kept site, very helpful and friendly wardens. Highlights: Kingfisher on the river bank and deer coming to drink from the river, fabulous walk along the head of Loch Tay. 22c also helped.

Lovely site

Lovely site with beautiful views. Well kept and clean wardens friendly. The Coach House across the road lovely place, nice meal and people friendly but we thought a little over priced for what it was.

A Poem...Contentment

Hills and a river, surrounded by trees the Maragowan site has access with ease Quite and peaceful with time to unwind, just some passing traffic disturbing the sound Buffered by trees, it's a rumble or so, just folk passing by on there journey they go Destination unknown!...Another campsite...could be But they've missed out on Killin and it's tranquility. First visit here

This was our first visit to Maragowan but it won't be our last.The location is terrific for dog walks and amenities.Pitches are nicely situated and the site is very well maintained. Leaving time was four o clock on the day which suited us fine for walking the dog before we went. It helped that the weather was great for us too !!

Great Site

We were there last weekend, our 3rd visit to the site and once again had a terrific stay. The team there have it nailed. Very clean and tidy facilities and tv hook up on some of the pitches is brill. You just need a long cable/ariel. Great for walks and bikes and dogs. What more could you ask for. Oh yes a pub within walking distance that has good food and live music!!

Wonderful Site

Returned home on Saturday after 8 nights at this super site. We have stayed here many times over the last few years and we are never disappointed. The wardens are really friendly and helpful and the scenery and walks are amazing. Lots of choice of places to eat and most are also dog friendly. The center of Killin is only a very short walk away and you have everything you need there with a supermarket, chemist, outdoor shop with canoe and bike hire, plus hotels, restaurants and cafes. Looking forward to our next stay!
