Top Notch!

This was our first visit on our Scottish tour. As other reviewers say this is a great site, friendly staff, even friendlier ducks, plenty of room on site and a great centre for walking. It is so tranquil. Killin is within easy walking distance for shops but you just want to get your chairs out and pass the hours by watching the mountain scenery and the ever changing views as the clouds drift over. One of our favourites!

Marvellous Maragowan

Maragowan cannot fail to enchant. This is a long, slim site set alongside the river feeding Loch Tay, peaceful but within easy walk into Killin, with a good selection of small shops and restaurants. The site offers access to a variety of great walks for all abilities, especially out towards the loch. Facilities here are excellent, and the wardens are first-class. Eating out, try the Courie Inn, Main Street, for a simply superb meal with great service, or the Shutters for morning coffee in the sunshine.

Magnificent Site and Weather

Just returned from this site for the second time this year. Magnificent floral displays make this a welcoming site. The weather was fantastic first time this year it did not rain for more than a day. Spent six days here visited Loch Katrine had a trip with my wife and dog on the Sir Walter Scott steam ship could not have picked a better day, glorious sunshine. Wardens are as usual fantastic will see you in Stonehaven next year

Location Location Location.

This was the first Caravan club site we have been to. In fact it was the first site we had been to full stop. We only stayed for two nights as a practice in our new 'van. We will certainly be back for a longer stay. The site was fully booked both nights but never felt busy. It is in a great location, close enough to a beautiful small town with all the amenities to be convenient but still feels quiet and remote. Very clean with friendly, helpful wardens. If all Club sites are like this we'll be happy campers!!

Lovely location

Husband and I had a lovely 4 night stay in September 2015. Friend recommended this site and we are glad we came. Pitches are large and there were plenty to choose from when we arrived mid week, however it is advisable to book especially for weekends / peak times. Great walks or cycling. kayaking etc. The caravan site was well maintained and the flower planters were splendid. Really well stocked Co-op in the village. Lots of hotels and cafes and little shops. Gravel pitches so take metal pegs and a hammer/ mallet. Hope to return to Maragowan soon.

Nice site

We stayed 2 nights at Maragowan.  It's well placed for walking into Killin and seeing the Falls of Dochart.  There's plenty of places to eat and drink within the area too, without having to drive.   It seems to be a busy site - the roads were busy with vehicles doing the rounds looking for pitches.  The pitches backing onto the main road seemed to have quite a slope to them so not ideal for motorhomes.  This road also seems popular with motorcyclists and is quite noisy as a result. The toilet block is a bit dated but is warm and clean.  Plenty of showers and toilets. Small play park but the kids all seemed quite happy. Overall, a great weekend but I have to say - whoever decided where to place the motorhome service point should really think again.  The one way system means you have to travel round the site again after filling up, and the same again when dumping water before leaving.  It's also right beside the play park so be wary of children when manoeuvring in and out.

Good location

This was one of our stop over sites on way back to South Coast from Oban. Perfect location. Usual clean facilities but rather dated. I thought the site felt crowded but that's probably because there was a quick turn over and pitches always full.

Relaxing Stay

Having visited this site many times in the past we stayed again last week for 5 nights, like many of the previous reviews we found the site peaceful and quiet at this time of year, very pleasant stay, great helpful wardens, who work really hard to keep this site spotless and attractive which is a credit to the club, Killin itself is always nice, good restaurants and few nice local shops, friendly people, fantastic scenery at this time of year, we will be certainly back next year.

Heaven

We have been coming to this site for many years. It's so beautiful and the scenery is spectacular. The wardens are always extremely friendly and helpful. I would, however, say that it's time the facilities were upgraded. They are absolutely kept clean and tidy but are very dated compared to other CC sites. That's my only concern as everything around the site is still as gorgeous as ever.

Great location

Beautiful setting just outside the lovely town of Killin. Really attractive reception area with super friendly staff. Immaculate facilities. Lots to see and do in the surrounding mountains, lochs and rivers.
