Make sure you're well stocked with all the essentials including groceries because the site is positioned quite a distance away from supermarkets and takeaways. We used it as a stopover on the way to the Lake District and because there were pitches available at the last minute even though it was a weekend. However, the wardens were very helpful and friendly so that the booking and pitching process was reasonably straightforward.
Pleasant first CC site visit
We picked this site as we were attending an event at the Three Counties Showground, for which it is extremely conveniently located.
The site is easy to find, and the roads to it from the M5 were fine for towing on. Entry to the site was extremely easy. The welcome at reception was very friendly, and clear and helpful instructions were given.
There are hard standings and grass areas on both the top and bottom sections. The grass pitches on the top section had the views and sun all day, though there were some trees to provide a bit of shade. The pitches (hard standing) over the far end of the site got the most shade, loosing the sun about 4/5pm. The hard standings had grass areas surrounding them. The pitches were large, but were soon filled once you got a large awning attached. The pitches (both hard standing & grass across the site) that get the most sun/views do fill up earlier in the day. We pitched in the hard standings at the back on the left as you drive in. We found this area to be very quiet, even though a lot of people did walk their dogs along the outer edge of it. The bottom area did feel slightly nosier than the top. It was probably because the play park is in this section so there were more families there.
The facility block (at the top) was very clean at all times, and never seemed to be busy. We cannot comment on what the showers were like as we used our own facilities; however they did look very nice. There were water points, grey water disposal and chemical disposal points at each toilet block. There are bins for recycling available.
With the 1p child price, our stay only cost £20 a night, which for a CC site we felt was very reasonable. All in all a pleasant first visit to a CC site. If we have reason to be back in the area again we would return.
One of the best!
A great little site within an hours journey for us. I expected it to feel quite noisy and not very relaxing considering the size of the site, but even though it was full it couldn't have been quieter. Some of the pitch's feel crammed in at first but once settled you realise how lovely the place is. Malvern is a short drive away and we had a lovely walk over the hills. We were disappointed we couldn't get a meal in the Swan which is a 20min walk away so would advise booking in future. Overall, very good and we will certainly be back. Well done to the wardens for keeping the place spotless!
Visit in june
We visited this site in June this year (2015). It was lovely! The site is really clean and tidy with great facilities, it is really easy to get to with no winding roads. The staff were really helpful, the pitches are generous in size.
The only downside, and this is not to do with the club at all, we had fish and chips from the van at the entrance to the site, it was the worst take away we have ever had, it went in the bin and we went to the pub. (Which was lovely)

A Lovely Peaceful Site
Returned here again. Its such a lovely place but near enough to places of interest and motorways to be really useful.
Found a great place to visit, the Queenswood Country Park on the A49 between Hereford and Leominster. Surely one of the best views ever from their viewpoint, the Malverns to the Welsh Mountains. The park also has a great Arboretum and the place is free, including car parking! There's also a reasonable cafe on site. Back at the Malvern Site, any hope please for one hook in the ladies shower cubicles, "bobbles" are fine for blouses etc but hopeless for your bath towel, which ends up on the wet floor! Other than that a lovely site in a lovely part of the country.

mobile phone reception
great site , CC standards , no complaints. I'm with T-mobile, EE, orange , and OH is with 3 and neither of us could get a signal. Since coming home I checked the coverage with EE and it's low signal outdoors in the Malvern area, but I didn't get any. Contacted the CC and the phone signal for Malvern is Fair. I spoke to the warden and they have vodophone and O2 which they said was okay.
Great Site beware the Fish & Chip Van
This site is up to the normal high standard but the fish & chip van just outside the gate is not! As this van is permanently sited outside the site gate it gives the impression that it is approved by the Caravan Club, just what the arrangement is I don't know but that is the impression given.
We purchased 2 meals of fish, chips & peas and found both fish to be inedible, they had a fishy smell indicating that the fish was not fresh and tasted awful, both were thrown away. We put it down to experience and vowed not to use them again. On our return home I spoke to a neighbour about the site and the first thing he said was did you use the fish & chip van? he then told me he had used the site last year and had the same bad experience with the fish. I have since also talked to another friend who also experienced the same problem last year. For it to happen once can be put down to bad luck but 3 times over a 12 month period is bad management and could be dangerous, I think the Club should look into this problem as it reflects on their good reputation.
Our first ever camping trip - fantastic site!
We recently bought a motorhome (Swift Mondial RL) and this was our first ever holiday in it - total newbies!
There was two of us and our two dogs and we all loved this site. It was our favourite out of the 3 Caravan Club sites we stayed at over the week.
We got off to a poor start thanks to me driving into the adjacent C&C Club and waltzing into their reception. They were very good about it and pointed me in the right direction.
Once we got onto the proper site, everything was easy. The wardens were friendly, the site was really well laid out and felt very spacious. The toilet blocks were fantastic. Spotlessly clean, nice and warm (this was a cold start to June even for the UK!), and plenty of showers.
Malvern Hills is quite remote in terms of local amenities so come prepared! The reception has some very basic provisions and we did end up buying supplies from the "opposition" next door.
We intend to return to this site soon for another adventure!
Second Visit
We visited Malvern for a second time this year, drew up on a wettish Friday afternoon, enjoyed a lovely, sunny but windy Saturday including a stroll to the pub (£4.00 for a pint of posh lager through), bought a pie from the butchers for tea.
This is a cracking site - great wardens, clean, tidy and roomy, enjoyable bike ride into Upton mostly quiet lanes & cycle paths. Reasonable wifi, had fish & chips first weekend we stayed but we wouldn't do that again, otherwise a really nice site.
