What a find

We stopped over for a night whilst on route to Cornwall, what a lovely site. Don't be stupid like I was when I turned onto the site and went right. I then made a prat of myself trying to book into the Camping and Caravanning site which is adjacent to the Caravan Club site. When you enter the main entrance go straight ahead. This is a big site but well managed and spotlessly clean. We had a great nights sleep which set us up for the rest of our journey. We will definitely come back for a short stay to visit and explore the nearby area.

Huge Site, very busy

Make no mistake this site is huge >200 pitches which include some very large rigs on some of the pitches. The site is very clean and well presented and quite close to the M5. We chose this site to break our journey back up north and it did not disappoint. There are two toilet blocks with ample showers but they can be quite a distance from your pitch. The large number of pitches mean that there is quite a bit of traffic to and fro. Outside of the site, there are two other camping sites sharing the same entry road. The hamlet of Hanley Swan is very pleasant with a nice pub that serves good food. In summary a well run site but perhaps a little busy for a quiet break. However it is ideally suited for a travel break or visiting the showground which is close by. Be aware of those Big Rigs though...

Our first time caravaning.

Firstly I cannot fault the site for cleanliness and general housekeeping was tip top......on arrival I thought I was arriving at a flower show! However the welcome wasn't quite what I expected.  Stupidly, in the rush to get out on the road for our first ever venture into caravaning I forgot, or so I thought, our club ID and how we were made to suffer. I was told that if I could not provide our card we would not be coming onto the site. I offered an email confirmation of my membership number and driving licence which was accepted reluctantly only to have a guest stood behind me tutting!  I explained that it was our first time out hoping for some sympathy and maybe an offer of help but no such thing. We are very "green" when it comes to caravaning and still a little nervous so this wasn't a great experience for us! Hope all sites are not run by the gestapo. Again the cleanliness of the site was excellent and facilities were all we needed. Now we have some idea of what we are doing we look forward to searching out some other sites. Then again we won't be forgetting our ID either!

A benchmark for a Caravan site

The Malvern Hills site could easily be used as a benchmark for a caravan site. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and directed to areas that were available to us to pitch. From then on everything was as good as you could get, a nice mixed pitch site with nice views and lovely walks. The facilities were kept in immaculate condition even though the site appeared nearly full. It was difficult to believe that there are 217 pitches on this site as it is so well laid out it seems that you are on a much smaller site. We will definitely be using it again as it is close to our family and encourages us to make a full weekend of it.

Good Base

As per many reviewers, very clean facilities. Beautiful flowers at reception so first impressions are always going to be good ones.Convenient for the Motorhome Show at the nearby showground although it is a long walk if you want to leave your vehicle on site. Despite being a large site, all feels very spacious and open and this is something we particularly like. Probably revisit in the future.

Well Kept Site

Always loved this site for a short getaway. Pitches well maintained, facilities spotless.  Wardens very friendly and doing a great job. Plenty of places to walk, love the Malvern Hills.  Not huge amounts to do with kids although they still enjoyed themselves.

Malvern August 2015

Excellent- spotless facilities very helpful wardens. An ideal site to visit for numerous national trust sites which are close by. A good pub The Plough and Harrow in Guarlford a short walk across the fields or along the road going left out of the site. From site entrance turn right to the village of Hanley Swan with yet another good eating place although a little expensive. Only note of caution the hot water is very very hot beware.

Simply first class

We can only reiterate everything positive that has been said about this site. We normally do not like sites as large as this one, but because of the spacious layout of the site it does not present a problem. This is one of the most beautiful areas in the UK and we will be revisiting this site in September for the 3rd time this year - something we don't normally do! So much to see and enjoy to suit every taste. Try it, you will not be disappointed. Congratulations to the hard-working staff.
