Very nice with friendly staff and other users who helped and advised us during our stay. Grass cutting was very, very noisy but realise it has to be done sometime so have not given full marks for peace and quiet. all in all an enjoyable stay.
Great - as usual ... BUT
As we joined the club at Blackmore (Malvern Hills) 23 years ago it is almost a second home and one of our favourite sites. It is close enough to home to enable us to tend our allotments every few days.
However - we do NOT like the new booking facility where it is required to choose the type of pitch when making a reservation. This is definitely a retrograde step and means that we will not book an unsuitable pitch if the type we require is not available. As a trial it has not yet been implemented on all sites. We hope it never is.
A good site but not a typical CC site
This is a well located, friendly site with helpful wardens who made us very welcome.
But this is not in my opinion a typical Caravan Club site, it is a big site and when we stayed it was full -it is more like a series of fields with caravans rather than other sites in the Clubs network which offer more sectioned off areas. This is and feels big and crowded, perhaps also they are trying to get too many pitches out of the space they have, the area we stayed on felt a bit like a maze, you were aware that you had neighbours. However this will not stop us returning because the location, cleanliness, facilities and welcome we had was typical of a Caravan Club site and the wardens are a credit to the Club.
Spotlessly clean!
We used this site as an overnight stay. Lovely site, and the facilities were spotlessly clean. Warden was very welcoming. We would return again
fantastic views
We absolutely loved this site, fantastic views and lovely location, very clean and friendly staff, would definitely recommend.
Probably great for families but ......
Visited this site during August. First impressions were good - friendly wardens, facilities nice and clean, nice walk into local village. However, I have to agree with previous reviews, regarding a total lack of peace & quiet & privacy. Dogs were barking constantly, and people thought nothing of walking straight across our pitch (with & without dogs). This is also the first c.c site I have attended where the parking next to the peg regulation was often ignored. Perhaps we were just unlucky, and I imagine that outside of school holidays, the site is probably different again, although I doubt that we will be returning.
Huge site bordered by another huge site
Stayed here for two nights in mid August 2015 - this is a BIG site with another Caravan and Camping Club site next door. Nice walk into village and lovely pub, also great walking in Malverns and days out in places like Ledbury which are a short drive away. Facilities were clean and good, quite a lot of uncontrolled dog barking so not really quiet and peaceful. Wooded dog walk with a few uncollected poos to stand in at night. We also had a really rude neighbour next door but that was not the club's problem.
Stay too short
Excellent site with delightful backdrop and well designed facilities. Well placed for walking and visits to many places of interest. Easy access to good selection of eateries
Yet another great stay
We have been here many times. This time we took our grandchildren, not realising that it would cost us 1p per child per night. Talk about deal of the year. Great welcome, clean site, took a hard core pitch on the top level but wished we had gone down to the lower level as there is a better view of the Malverns ( clouds permitting). Plenty of space for children. We enjoyed a stimulating game of draughts, located near reception. I really do wish that those people pulling caravans around the site could just see what happens to the back of the caravan when you go over a speed bump too quickly. From the noises coming from within caravans, it would not surprise me if crockery had not been broken. Slow down!!!! Would we go back, yes we would and will.
Great stopover
We stayed here to swap over our grandchildren. The site is very conveniently located just 10 miles from the M5. Nice play park for the children, great views, clean facilities as usual on a caravan club site. The wardens are excellent and all in all a great place to stop. One day we will explore the local area when we have more time. We did walk into Hanley Swan which was a gentle stroll that had a local shop, post office and pub - no review as we did not use them. I am sure we will be back - we have visited the site three times now as one night stopovers.
