first caravan holiday

Our first ever trip with our first ever caravan. Fanatic welcome, very informative and understand that we were newbie. Great site and facilities, our young son loved the play area and the toured explorer trail. Great location and plenty to keep both parents and child happy. Will highly recommend and will be back.

Good site, excellent female staff, but beware of the Corporal.

Good site well worth a visit. The Ladies on reception were really nice and welcoming. Unfortunately our dog jumped out of the car whilst I was setting up and I hadn't noticed. The dog was never more than a few metres away. Later when I called at reception to collect the pass key a male member of staff, in front of others, deliberately tried to embarrass me regarding keeping my dog on a lead. Seeing a funny side he reminded me of the old films showing army corporals of the 1950s but a little courtesy whilst being told off would have been more appropriate and acceptable. As stated a good site but beware of doing anything wrong.

The Malvern Hills in the Snow

We visited this site in order to walk the length of the Malvern Hills, and what a surprise on the morning of our walk the winter snows had fallen carpeting the site in a blanket of white. It was such a wonderful surprise. We still did our walk on both the Sat and Sun of our trip. The site itself looked spectacular, and the site staff were out and about making sure that important area's were kept clear in order to avoid accidents etc. What a great trip, with so much to recommend.

March 2018 - Week of walking

We arrived Tuesday 20th; departing Saturday 24th March 2018. This is an excellent site with good clean facilities. It was quiet when we arrived and filled up a bit but was no more than half full when we left. it is less than 10 minutes drive to the parking for the hills and we were blessed with good weather to allow us to walk extensively along and around the ridges. On the one grey day we experienced, we ventured into Hereford to visit the city and the weeping window poppies display at the Cathedral (30 minutes drive away.) It is a large site with plenty of spaces both hardstanding and grass, there are plenty of facilities available across the site. The staff were brilliant and made it a very welcoming experience. We would definitely consider visiting this site again

From a Guide leader

We stayed here in October and had a lovely week. The site was quiet in the week but almost full at the weekend. The grass pitches had been closed for the end of season. I was disappointed to read the reviews from the members complaining about the Guide event taking place. As an ex Guider I know that the last thing we want to do as an organisation is upset people. I spoke to the wardens about it and was told it was one weekend and the event was between 9am and 4pm. The centre is Worcestershire Guiding centre and is a beautifully appointed place which is used by the organisation throughout the year I believe. (I have no connection with Worcestershire Guide Association). In the end its kids enjoying themselves instead of glued to screens all day. We enjoyed our stay especially the suicidal golden pheasant whose mission in life was to get as close to our Westie, Robbie as possible.

Nice stay

We had a nice stay even though the weather was not so good. The site is looking a bit worn a lot of the hard standings have a gray mush instead of stone this is hard to keep out of the caravan. Toilets blocks shut for two hours at a time and at 10am just when most want to use them why not clean them later when the site has fewer people about and close them for one hour this should be long enough. I don't like complaining but it not cheap to stay on caravan club sites and i think the points i make where echoed by a lot of members on the site

Great site

A very well kept site that is immaculate in all areas and that is down to the hard work of the wardens especially the toilet blocks no matter what time we visited them they were in high state of cleanliness Well positioned to visit the Malvern hills and other walks in the area . My only grip is not with the site but the amount of caravaners who will not stick to the 5mph rule ,I took my twin grandchildren age 2.5 yrs with us for 5 nights and got bit nervous for them and us at the amount of people who were racing to get to a pitch in case anybody got to it before them was unbelievable the speed limit is there for a reason but if you say anything they look at you as if lost your mind or are abusive toward you

Nice site for the hills

Great site with helpful staff. Facilities spotless but should be as they are closed for two hours every day ( Is that the norm? Can’t remember) In an area where you need a car to explore as not much locally apart from the Swan pub which is very nice but I wouldn’t have wanted to walk to it even though the impression given was that it “was just down the road” We only stayed for four nights, pitched right next to the dog walk which was a mistake as it was grass cutting time and the mower made frequent visits to just inside where I assume it kept emptying. That said, I would definitely visit again just on a different pitch.

Beautiful tranquil spot, well kept by friendly staff

We found ourselves at the mercy of our builders and needed to leave our house so we looked for a local site and were lucky enough to find this one. Initially we booked in for a week but ended up staying about three! Everyone involved in looking after the site was friendly and helpful keeping standards high and guests happy! The grounds and facilities being looked after fastidiously. We even felt like we actually had made friends with some of the team they were so nice and chatty. We really appreciated the calm and tranquil site situated so close to the beautiful Malvern Hills and all the surrounding attractions. Even though we were only ten minutes from home we felt like we were on holiday. Definitely recommend you stay here. Thank you!

Lovely long weekend break on this quiet well kept site.

Lovely quiet well kept site. The village of Hanley Swan is about one mile down the road, with a foot path. The Swan inn in the village serves great ale and good food ( a little on the pricey side) also has a village shop. It's just a short drive to Malvern and the hills. We were so lucky with the weather, the view from the summit was spectacular. Well worth the trek. Definately will be back.
