Longleat with grandson

We stayed on this site with our grandson, just to visit the Sarfari Park.  It was an excellent location for this purpose, 5 minutes to the Park and 10 minutes to the centre.   Would recommend purchasing a 2 day entry ticket to the Park, so much to do and see with the bonus of being able to return to the caravan whenever we needed.   Site was clean and well looked after with good hard standing. Friendly wardens.

Fantastic Site

Fantastic Site for the whole family and our two dogs. Had a great time and situated on the doorstep of Longleat Safari Park, which was also superb. Excellent facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be returning.

Not as good as previous

Have previously used this site to sadly be quite disappointed this time. Very noisy, young children running between our van and car and on our pitch. Toilets cleaned once a day in the afternoon even on our first day of arriving the male and female toilets were not particularly clean, pleased we have our own facilities. Wardens very friendly and helpful though. We had a day ticket for Longleat of which we had previously enjoyed only to find it has now become extremely money orientated and the family experience appears to have been forgotten in certain areas within the park, the safari is fantastic as always. As we have been previous to this site we have been able to have a quiet evenings walk around the grounds of Longleat only to find this has been stopped and no admission after 18:45 and only with a valid ticket in opening times. Such as shame as the site is quite isolated and it is nice to not use your car and just spend your time walking of which the grounds are now out of bounds in the evenings so you are limited on walks unfortunately. Such a shame and we won't be returning to this site anymore or Longleat as for many years we have recommended Longleat and the Site.

Excellent Site

Stayed here for 8 nights in August 2016 with our teenage son. Excellent location for ease of access to Longleat, although having dogs we used the kennels at Longleat so always had to drive. Site is spotlessly clean and tidy. No issues at all. Friendly and helpful wardens. Would happily stay here again. Phone signal (Vodafone) is almost non-existent, but our son's Tesco mobile had reasonable signal. We bought club wifi for the week and had no issues at all using it. There is passing traffic noise which is more noticeable early in the morning but it didn't really disturb us.

Great for Longleat but...

....recently Longleat management have tightened grounds security so it is no longer possible to walk round their grounds in the evenings when the park is closed. We used to be able to stroll around the park land and in the gardens behind the house for free but now there is a guard on the gate until 7pm then a separate security contractor takes over for night patrols (and there are cameras). Therefore the only walks are in the opposite direction. Having said that the full Longleat experience is good fun and with Tesco vouchers or Caravan Club discount is not too expensive. The club site is nice and clean with plenty of outdoor games for the kids. Our boys also enjoyed the Tourer Explorer treasure hunt.

Longleat Caravan Club Site

Longleat Caravan Club Site. Well located on the Wiltshire and Somerset boarder. No too large, all expected facilities that my wife and I expected were very good. Toilets and showers, waste disposal etc were totally acceptable. The reception staff were always cheerful when I spoke to them! But we did wonder how things would be if we had any children with us? Ideal for touring the external areas and country side. Bath, Wells, Frome and the East Somerset Railway, all easy access to get to. For us, 100% satisfied. It would suit the other people that we spoke to, that used the site in transition. We had no desire to visit the Safari Park, so cannot speak for that. We had a Monday to Friday stay and it was excellent and look forward to returning!!

longleat experience

This is a special site, you are within walking distance of the house. The wardens look after the site to a vey high standard. The only downside to me is the road into the site,I found this a bit of a bind every day.

Rosie & her humans

Rosie took her humans to Longleat. Tricky to find if you put in wrong post code should be BA12 7PH Drive beside the White Hart and you will pick up clear caravan club site signs as you near. Site was clean and staff friendly Plenty of space between pitches and a small village green Small shop for emergency requirements of bread milk water No phone signal bliss ! Wifi non  Sounds of seal lions were wonderful. 5 min drive to longleat Safari entrance Had a fab family day from 10am to 7pm Take a picnic Bath nearby  Would we return YES
