1st Class.

After rejoining the Caravan Club recently, we spent 3 nights at this lovely site. I have to say, you would be hard pressed to find better. I would like to take this opportunity, to applaud all those involved, in making our stay a very pleasant one.

GREAT PLACE

GREAT PLACE FOR LONGLEAT ROAD TO SITE IS A BIT NARROW. STAFF WERE GREAT. TOILET BLOCKS CLEAN. TV AND PHONE SIGN NOT GREAT.

I will be returning

A fantastic family and pet caravan site. Our children and I had a great stay here. The kids had a lovely park to play in. We had a pitch with a view along with very clean wash rooms and showers. (Just a small walk) very welcoming staff and even fish & chips Friday

Great spot.

Stayed over for 3 nights with our grandson ,in order to visit the safari park house etc,fantastic position,a short walk to longleat house etc,very helpful staff ,very clean and tidy ,please take advantage of discounted preordered tickets and 20% off food and beverages ,we saved money,it helps, plenty of amenities,will be back . thankyou. ps,as already advised...use the safari bus ,those monkeys really take a car apart!!

excellence

stayed for 3 nights aug bank holiday to visit longleat safari. You couldn't get a more convenient site, literally 2 mins walk gate to gate. It is a large site with everything. play park, 2 toilet /shower blocks (immaculate) table tennis ,outdoor chess, laundry and much more. The reception was what you would expect of the c.c and I was booked in and pitched in no time. The wardens were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the safari park, no doubt saving me a fortune on repairs. (use safari bus not car). no phone reception, but the club Wi-Fi was good. excellent time

Great for families.

We recently stayed at this site and although large it is very well laid out and children friendly. A lot of grandparents looking after the grandchildren as we were also. We had a couple of days at the Longleat centre and although expensive it went down well with all of us. I would like to make one comment though, why do caravaner`s ignore the 1pm entry time? I saw at least three caravans arrive before 12 o`clock and when we left at 11:30 we met one coming in on the approach road, what is the matter with them? are they being selfish and hoping to get the best choice of pitch? or cannot wait for lunch (if the later, take sandwiches). The rules are there to stop two vans meeting on a single track road, if we had been 3 minutes earlier we would have met them head on in the single track section, if that happened they better have been prepared to reverse as I would certainly not, I rather drop the steadies and let them try and reverse uphill with little or no passing places for two caravans. And come on sites don't let early arriving people enter till 1pm. Okay Victor Meldrew moment almost gone but will just add one more comment. A family arrived and setup as normal and their children (plus others I think) set up an impromptu cricket match on the road. Now it is good to see the children playing but why did the parents not tell them to play cricket in the playing field. The result was the boy with the bat was playing like Ian Botham, spraying balls all over the place at some speed (only being enthusiastic). The only level of control the father had was to suggest that if they hit a car or a caravan they were out! Unbelievable, is this showing respect to others around. In fact it took a request from a father with a very young toddler to ask them to either move back or go to the field as their child was in direct firing line. I would stress this is not the fault of the children, when a ball came passed our caravan the young lad apologised, they were only doing what children do but they should have been directed to a safer place in which to have a match. Having said all of that we certainly hope to return some day. That`s it Victor has now left the building.

August Bank Holiday weekend

Another lovely weekend at Longleat our fourth. One of our favourite sites. Very well kept by friendly helpful wardens. Great location for the safari park and house. Looking forward to our next visit in September for the balloon festival.

Great stay

This was our second visit to the Longleat site. It is a lovely site. Very well maintained and all the facilities were really clean. Wardens are really friendly. As revious reviews have said it has a great location it is just a pity that Longleat no longer allows members to wander up and access the grounds only (for free) as it did previously. 2 day pass is worth having, although we still didn't see it all. I would also recommend the Royal Oak pub at Corsley for a meal. Fantastic food, great atmosphere & really friendly staff.

Another Enjoyable Safari

Another enjoyable visit to this site, unbeatable location so convenient for the Park comfortable walking distance. My only gripe was the noise of park work vehicles entering and exiting the park early in the morning (before 7am).

Brilliant Site and Unbelievable Location

We just came back from a 5 day visit and 2 day pass to the longlegs park. What a great week away. First the site itself, clean, tidy, well laid out, wardens happy and helpful. Not a single complaint. The reason for the peace and quiet only 4 ticks, was the fact that the latter half of the holiday went into bank holiday weekend and it got a bit noisy, but nothing like that will take away the fact that the site was immaculate. Even at night you can hear the sea lions and train. The location is great!! If you have a printed out booking for long leat, don't bother driving all the way round to the front, go up to the gate just outside of the site or drive round to the safari entrance and get your passes there, so convenient. Brilliant site and longleaf is great, great for families.
