Halloween weekend

We only live about 10 miles away but decided to bring 3 grandchildren over to Longleat for Halloween weekend. Made a saving buying out day tickets for Longleat through the Club website. Arrived at 11 and parked the van in the coach park and spent a couple of hours in the park before pitching up on site, Wardens are very friendly. Site was beautiful and the toilets and showers were immaculate and lovely and warm. Lots of vans were decorated for Halloween and the kids enjoyed dressing up and going Trick or Treating after watching the firework display. Really lovely site and we are considering buying a season ticket to Longleat and doing this regularly throughout the year as the site is so nice

A Great Family Site

What can I say, this was our first visit to Longleat and I don't think it will be our last, despite it being a 5 hour drive away! The proximity to Longleat made for a very relaxing stay with a gentle stroll from Caravan to Safari it was a perfect way to end our October half term break. I can't recommend this site highly enough, really enjoyable and can't wait to visit again.

Love it

We aren't so far away where we live, but this his a great site. Longleat itself right next door, you can here the lions roar occasionally. Been here twice now and its peaceful. The trees around always make a caravan site better than one that doesn't have them.Adds to the scenery. You don't have that impression you are overcrowded with caravans, as you can't see them all because of the trees. The approach lane is too narrow in most places for two vehicles to pass. But there are passing places and the arrivals and departures rules ensure that you wouldn't have an oncoming caravan rig to deal with. Facilities are super. Never once had to wait to use anything. And it's all clean and spotless. In this area you aren't so far away from quite a few places to visit. Pretty sure there's something to suit all tastes.

Peaceful

The arrival process was efficient and staff were excellent, we found the site was well maintained and the toilets were warm and clean and it was also quiet even during the periods when it was fully booked. The site is well drained as we experienced during our stay prolonged periods of extremely heavy rain without any problems, most pitches are shaded to some degree at times so choosing a pitch can be difficult if full sun is a requirement, chose carefully.

Access, access, access.

We have no adverse comments on the site staff, amenities both site or local but we would make readers aware that the access road from the main road and pub to the site is approx 1.8 miles long and during our visit was being used very frequently by large farm equipment (tractors and trailers) and large transporters to the Longleat Estate access just beyond the CAMC site entrance. There was no way that caravans/motorhomes would be able to pass these vehicles on the access road as it us essentially single track in parts with few passing places. So visitors just be wary.

Really great place to be.

We have been to Longleat CMC site twice this year and there is a possibility we will be going again depending on a few other details, nothing connected with Longleat. The first visit we made here was our induction into caravan holidaying, we have to say we are most definitely hooked, we love the setting the way things are set out, the staff are very helpful and polite. We also got the opportunity to visit some family members whom have move from abroad and not tom far away from Longleat. We did enjoy our time they very much and enjoyed walking around the local area with our two pet dogs and look forward to many more visits. Thank you all at Longleat

Peaceful and tranquil

The location is perfect being next door to Longleat. We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed the flexibility of just walking into Longleat. The site was clean, the wardens friendly and really the access is good. Will visit again.

An amazing place to stay with the family

Not only the site is characteristic of Caravan and Motorhome Club (The Caravan Club) for cleanness, helpfulness and attention to detail, the location is perfect for walkers and explorers. The facilities for babies and toddlers are one of the best that I’ve seen since I been a parent. And it’s walking distance from Longleat House but you better take the car so you can do the safari also (Highly recommended).

Safari Park Next Door

Clean and tidy , well laid out site with good sized pitches . A bit shaded due to the amount of large trees throughout the site . This blocked early morning and late evening sunshine . Good facilities with clean showers and toilet blocks . A short walk to the Longleat house from the site entrance , or drive to the safari park about a mile away . A good base to explore Bath and surrounding area .
