This site is in a good location for local amenities and buses. It is a clean site and the facilities are maintained to a good standard. It was noisy but this was a last minute weekend away, within the school holidays and around August bank holiday weekend, our options were limited, so we had to accept that kids were going to be kids!
That said, we wouldn't return here. I am increasingly finding CAMC check-ins regimented rather than welcoming and it is quite off putting. This was one that my brain has made a mental note of.
This was a nice site
Good location. Short walk to train station which took as to Brighton. Arundel was lovely too.
Would return.
Didn't use toilet block, but im sure it would be clean.
Just come back from a nice stay at this site, overall the facilities were clean but a little outdated. The only issue, which is out of the site control, was the noise from the motorbikes on the main road using it as a race track almost every night for several hours. We did have an issue with unsuvervised young children 'playing' in the toilet/shower block during the evening while people were trying to use the facilities and trying to look over/under the cubicles. Site staff were notified and we were told they would deal with it, after that, no further incidents.
First visit to Littlehampton, and pleasantly surprised at this smallish site.First impressions are that it is sandwiched on a corner, but the site has a large grass pitch area, which was very busy as start of the school holidays. Also unusual for a Club site there is an entrance to a static park as well.I found the site peaceful. The lovely beach is just over a mile away, walkable but if you have children with you have all beach stuff to carry, you may need to use car or the bus.
We caught the bus to Rustington and walked back along the beach, there is a lovely cafe which serves food and drink on the beach,we then walked up to the harbour area, with more cafe's, restaurants, pubs small funfair for kids, ect. then walked back to site.I would easily return, and spend more time around the harbour area.Note arrival instructions say turn left at a pub called
6 bells, this has now shut, and is home to the nearest bus stop.
We just wanted to say that this is a fantastic site. Such friendly and welcoming staff and the site was absolutely spotless! It is a near level site and most of the vehicles we could see didn't need levelers. As well as Littlehampton itself, this site is close enough to visit Arundel with it's lovely streets and cathedral, as well as Worthing. With all these attractions near by, and the attentive staff on the site who maintain the site to an excellent condition, we hope to be able to return again soon.
We found this Club site a little more compact than others but had everything we needed. The showers were huge and well maintained by the management. Although near a busy railway line we don’t hear any noise at all. We walked down to the harbour/ beach (25 mins) and back after a fabulous meal at the’Harbour Lights cafe - very good food with a Spanish feel, all cooked to order + nice wines & staff.
We would definitely call at this campsite again when visiting family.
Just finished another wonderful two week stay on this lovely site. We come here often for small breaks to unwind. The site staff were as friendly and welcoming as ever and it was lovely to see the site had embraced the "NO MOW MAY" supporting Plantlife's campaign for the second year, as advertised by the club on 19th April, with little plaques in the grass areas explaining what they were doing. The increase in the wildlife on site is very noticeable with the bird song throughout the day. Just lovely. The site facilities were immaculate, as always, and the information room was filled with leaflets on places to eat, and visit. Important numbers, local shops, bus routes, maps, book swaps and much more. Even detailed instructions on how to get to both Littlehampton and Arundel for those with the legs for walking. The road noise can be heard from some of the pitches but there are plenty of pitches further away where you can hardly hear the noise, so don't be put off by previous posts. As we were leaving, the site staff were in full work mode mowing and hedge cutting (where they could due to birds nesting) bringing the site back to its normal pristine condition. Again, don't be put off by previous posts. We will keep coming back.
This isn’t a very spacious site so when it is full you do feel on top of each other. Some of the pitches aren’t very deep and the roads are narrow making it hard to manoeuvre onto the pitch.
There were lots of dogs on site when we stayed and there was dog poo we had to clear up by our pitch and some more my 11 year old son walked in. We have never had a dog poo problem on other sites.
Toilet blocks needed cleaning by the end of the afternoon as some staying on site didn’t clean up after themselves.
It may just have been a very busy weekend but think more staff are needed for cleaning in the afternoon and poo patrol!
Overall bit disappointed and won’t stay again.
Friendly staff and a clean site. Unfortunately the road traffic was very noise all day and night.
Asked staff member for direction us to walk to the sea front but unfortunately it wasn't straight forward. The roads were very busy around the area. It would be very helpful if some written clear directions on how to walk to the beach from site.
Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my stay.
