Very enjoyable January stay

We stayed at the site at the start of the New Year. A very friendly and informative reception from Les & Maria. The site is surrounded by very high trees and even without foilage, it was difficult to get a satellite signal, but eventually, we found a pitch. It's a short walk down into Chirk village and also upto Chirk Castle. We also walked from site along the Llangollen Canal towards Llangollen. we stopped off for lunch at The Telford Inn, at Trevor which is adjacent to The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, the highest navigable aqueduct in the world!! The pub served up typical pub grub and service was good. Another 4 miles and we reached Llangollen. We caught the 1620 bus back that dropped us off at the Railway Station close to the site. It's a great location, the wardens keep the site to a high standard. Worth a visit
