The best CAMC site we have stayed at yet

From arrival, our welcome was warm informative and brief, perfect. The site is ideally located for walking, the Llangollen Canal is beautiful. It is generally very peaceful, there is a local sawmill which can be heard on occasion. Chirk is a small friendly town within easy walking distance, with shops priced for the locals not for tourists. Facilities on site are very modern, clean and suitably sized for the number of people stopping at any time. they close off half at a time for cleaning so you are never locked out! We have stayed here twice now and look forward the the next visit.

Lovely Stay

What a lovely Club site this is. Set in woodland almost next to Chirk Castle Estate. Pitches are well laid out with space between. It just felt very cosy even though the weather was rubbish. Warden was friendly and helpful too.

Lovely clean and peaceful site

Second time staying and will be back again. Facilities were spotless, location excellent. We used the train station to explore. 23 minutes to Shrewsbury- worth a visit.

Poshest Club site around

This site is stunning. It's so posh, you have to take your shoes off when entering. The facilities are fantastic and the Disabled toilet/shower block is the best I have ever been in. Very clean with heated floors. Love it.

Beautiful site with immaculate facilities in a lovely location

The site certain has the "wow" factor. Although this is one of our favourite sites, we have not been here since it was redeveloped, but extremely impressed with the improvements. We have always liked the position of the site but the redeveloped pitches and very impressive facilities block have made this truly exceptional. Full credit to the friendly wardens for keeping the standards so high. We will be back soon.

Hard to find any faults

Definitely the best club site I have stayed in and it is confusing to read the poor reviews. It is quiet, facilities are first rate, and staff are cheerful and helpful. We had a lovely hardstanding pitch which was almost carved into the woods giving privacy and shade. Nice dog walks and showers just superb. It also has a perfect location …10 mins walk to the spectacular llangollen viaduct, 15 mins walk to a small town with a small sainsbury’s and pubs, and 10 mins walk to a station which gives access tp wrexham, shrewsbury and others.

Excellent

Amazing 1st visit, self check in is really good, great pitches but they are a bit unlevel. Amazing facilities, spotless, plenty of hot water. Ideally placed to visit the aquaduct and viaduct, lovely canal walk, not far from the village and a mile away to Chirk Castle. Train station down the road with trains to Llangollen,Shrewsbury and Chester. We were only here for the weekend but are looking to book for a week next year. Love it. Small playground for children, welcoming and friendly staff too.

Lovely site

Lady Margaret's is a beautiful site with immaculate facilities. Very quiet location, roomy pitches, good Internet and TV reception. The Automated check-in worked well and certainly speeded up arrival. Wardens very friendly. In Chirk we visited a couple very good restaurants The Castle Tandoori and Castle Bistro both with extensive menus and reasonable prices. A little further out on the A5 towards Llangollen the Aqueduct Inn is also very good but would advise booking as not very big. Visited Bridge Inn but not very friendly and insisted on a booking even though half empty. Last orders for kitchen 7pm! Well worth a visit to Llangollen, about a 20 minutes drive and cheap parking, heritage railway and canal very interesting. Chester about 30 minutes by train from Chirk station 10 minutes walk. Chirk Aqueduct about 10 minutes walk from site and Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is just behind the Aqueduct Inn . Would certainly recommend this site and would visit again.

Fabulous staff

Last weekend at Putts Corner, we had an awful experience with the warden, who was so picky and bossy , he had a very unfortunate attitude . This weekend could not have been so different . The staff were warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them . We like the idea of an easy self check in . The toilets were immaculate and the premier WiFi worked very well. There is a fabulous car boot nearby on a Sunday and we also went to Bangor races. We will be back! Thank you xx
