A Jewel in The Crown

Just arrived back after 8 wonderful days here. The site is magnificent and has a pitch for everyone's taste, beautiful views and guaranteed sunshine. Too many dog walks to mention with great local hospitality at The Hole in One and Village Inn. Beaches are superb and the towns of Sheringham and Cromer are just a short walk or drive away. There is a 9 hole golf course adjacent to the site for any budding Rory McIlroy. We will definitely be back here and the best compliment I can give it is - I didn't want to come home.

A Big Jewel

After 37 years we made here. We were greeted by excellent staff that impressed throughout. Good humoured, hard working and always friendly. It's a very large site but we loved the way it was split between open pitching and culls-de-sacs. The growth of trees and shrubbery now restricts sea views so 'go high' if that is what you are looking for. The variety of pitch types is better than most sites and there are 4 toilet blocks. Pitches are uneven so make sure you have levelling blocks. You should get sunshine almost everywhere although a small number of pitches are in secluded woodland. It is claimed its 1.5 miles round the site (I didn't measure it). At 5mph, that's around 18 minutes to navigate (a long time to keep your fish and chips warm from the mobile chippy that parks near the office). The first section of the site is two-way, but as you climb the hill, it becomes one way requiring you to re-enter the site to go around again. The wardens do a great deal for families and young children with fun days, magazines, puzzles, competions and a treasure hunt so even on wet days they should not be bored. Just one thing, yet again some parents fail to supervise their children and I did see water fights around one of the service points in the family area. Location is excellent with much to do for everyone. Good, safe beaches, rock pools for 'crabbing', historic buildings, seal trips, good local shopping in Cromer and Sherringham. Excellent bus service and steam trains for enthusiasts will take you to many attractions around the locality. And Norfolk is the driest county so enjoy.

A pleasent site but...........

We have just returned from an extended Bank Holiday stay. The site facilities were up to the Club's usual standard and the staff helpful as always. A big site on many levels with many steep roadways.and not at all suitable for anyone with limited mobility. I do not think the sites directory puts sufficient emphasis on the degree of slope on the majority of the pitches and the need for more levelling blocks than usual. The site has a supply of bricks but personally I was not happy with that and had to purchase some levelling pads from the caravan shop in the village.

Norfolk Base

We enjoyed a great 10 day holiday on this site. The wardens are extremely welcoming and always had a laugh and joke. There are nice little areas with just a handful of pitches as you climb up the site, then a few pitches with views over to the sea. Some areas are wooded and then a large area suitable for families close to the well equipped children's playground. A 15 minute walk takes you to the beach or coastal path which you can easily walk to Sherringham or Cromer. A short drive takes you to Cley next the sea and Blakney. Wells next the sea and various other places are all within a short drive. Also the railway station is just a few minutes walk from the site. Our holiday was in the summer school holidays so yes.. it was very busy but out of school holidays I would I imagine there would be a much toned down atmosphere.

Perfect bank holiday weekend

We have just spent 4 nights at this really lovely site in a motorhome. The staff were really welcoming, and extremely helpful when we had a problem with our electric cable, even re-wiring it for us. There are 4 toilet blocks which were kept really clean and the overall site is very well cared for with flowers and nice little touches everywhere. The area is lovely, a visit to the Shire Horse centre is a must and the beach at West Runton. We didn't eat at the local pub as it looked very expensive for what it is and don't forget good, high levelling blocks. Overall I cant recommend this site enough, and of course the hot sunny weather helped. Perfect.

Best Welcome yet on a club site

This is our favourite site in the UK. It is a large, beautiful site in a brilliant location. We had a fantastic holiday walking the North Norfolk coast. The welcome from the previous set of wardens was always good, but this team of wardens was exceptional. They all seemed extremely happy in their jobs and kept the site and toilet blocks in pristine condition, and that is quite a task as this site is very big and nearly all grass pitches. They seemed determined that everyone should have a wonderful holiday. They were busy all the time, but still always had time to give a friendly wave or hello when they passed by. They had display boards welcoming you and wishing you a happy holiday. While we were there they built 4 beach hut fronts at the entrance to the site. They were great and well photographed. 10/10 for the wardens. They deserve it! They should be involved in warden training.

Outstanding Site

We visited in August 2017 and found this site to be among the very best in UK. The wardens are helpful, friendly and very hard working. The site nestles in wooded hills wrapped round the local golf course. The pitches are generous though many are sloping and levelling blocks are required. The soil is sandy and light so awning pegs are difficult to secure and screw in types may help. The toilets and showers are immaculately clean and spacious. There is a bar serving food at the golf course which is open to all. This site is excellent if you have dogs - there is a large field next to the site which is perfect for exercise. The setting is beautiful and you even get a view of the sea. Highly recommended.

A great site

This is a great site although on some of it you will need big chocks/wedges. This site is vast and is well cared for by a wonderful team. I have never seen site wardens work as hard as I have on this site, well done and thank you all. The area is super with lots to do for all ages. Traditional seaside towns, great food, not forgetting the delicious Cromer crabs, yummy.

2nd visit

Great place to stay, easy access to Cromer and Sheringham, on the train, or by walking, we did both. Lovely site, with a place for all, noisy, quiet, scenic, hidden or up on the hill top. It was our 2nd visit and we enjoyed the 5 days we spent there. Lovely welcoming feeling and a very clean, looked after site.

CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT

This was our third Summer holiday at Incleboro and we enjoyed yet another superb stay. This site just keeps pleasing. The wardens work tirelessly to maintain the grounds and facilities in tip top condition and always have a cheery wave for us visitors. The Children's play area has a number of interesting fixtures which kept our Grandaughters amused for hours( 6yrs and 9yrs). The West Runton beach is magnificent and perfectly safe for a good ol' splash around. As we were in the "children's" area of the camp site I marked it a three star for peace and quiet, but the field is big enough and well enough laid out that it should possible to find a nice quiet spot should you be visiting without chldren. I expect that out of holiday season it really would be beautifully quiet. Just remember to bring plenty of leveling blocks! If you are looking for that special meal while you are away you could try Rocky Bottoms. It's an easy walk from site and serves excellent fresh sea food dishes. You can even take your own wine/beer.
