Wonderland

This site has a superb location within 3 miles of the towns of Cromer and Sheringham. West Runton beach is a good walk (not too long) and is worth the stroll, have a stop at the beach café for a cuppa or the Village Inn for a thirst quenching beer. Loads of different walks from the site. The site itself is immaculately maintained and kept pristinely clean by a terrific team of wardens who have a happy disposition - great bunch of people. Looking forward to returning next year.

A quiet haven

This was our 5th stay at Incleboro Fields. Our serviced pitch was spacious and the pitch good and level. The wardens must be some of the best on the Caravan and Motorhome Club sites. Every time we have stayed here the wardens have been brilliant. This time we had a technical issue with the water following the caravan's annual service and the help given by the office and the wardens could not have been better. When I thanked them, the reply was " This is just what we do." Their help was very much appreciated. The site is well placed for walking from; we did Cromer, over the Heath to East Runton and down to the beach for the final leg. Buses are frequent and it was easy to pick one up to get back! Sheringham is also easily within walking distance, we did it at low tide on the beach and had the bus back to West Runton. The Rocky Bottom, on the main road towards Cromer serves good sea food lunches but next time we would book as they only just squeezed us in. Crab linguine and crab/lobster tart both delicious They allow dogs in one area too, which for us, is a bonus.

Wonderful site

I enjoyed another enjoyable stay at this beautiful site. It is run by very helpful, pleasant & helpful staff. They have made it very attractive by all the little extra touches in and around the flower beds. Most imaginative. The facilities are spotless and well maintained. The area is good for coast path walks and lovely wild life and other attractions. The newspapers to order is a real bonus , not to mention the delicious pterodactyl eggs!! yes I will be back again.

Not all of the site is open Check before you book,

The issue is, they try to close down the site while people are still using it - rather like a restaurant putting the chairs on the tables or laying up for breakfast while you’re still sitting there having dinner, and within their published opening times. The club has to get to grips with that, and either warn people that’s what they are doing, and why - it is a club, we do have the club magazine for them to publicise this kind of stuff - or do all of the maintenance when the site has actually closed. I can’t believe that the cost of an extra couple of weeks’ pay to do all of this would change the economics of the site that much, and least of all at Incleboro with almost 300 pitches. We have in the past booked with children looking forward to a much anticipated half term break with the prospect in the family area of equipment and proximity to the van according kids freedom only to arrive to find the whole section closed. For the half term. When the rest of the site is open. Everyone is then squashed into one half of the site, a long dark walk through woods to the play area! Check before you book. I am up here at the moment and was pitched without choice for the convenience of the site closing one half already, three weeks before it actually shuts. I moved. Now I am being told the middle toilet block will close a week before I leave and I will 'be moved again'. Outrageously high handed.

Comment from the Club:

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review and for your feedback, which we value. Your comments have been forwarded to the Regional Manager of the area for his feedback and he has advised that towards the end of the season, on any site, the staff will review the occupancy levels and close some areas off in order to repair and prepare the pitches for the following season. Information of these areas will be explained to all members on arrival.

On Incleboro Fields there is no requirement to have all 4 toilet blocks open when the occupancy levels are low and in order to maintain cost efficiencies we will close blocks rather than spending member’s money on the general running costs unnecessarily.

I hope this helps explain and  we apologise this has affected your enjoyment of visiting the site.

Good weekend away

Very good site situated mainly in woodland giving secluded pitches if required. The booking in was easy and the facilities were excellant. Overall a very pleasant place to stay. With regards to eating we ate at the Village Inn which is probably worth avoiding and the Links Hotel which was very good but a bit pricey.

Norfolk Highlight

Arrived on the Friday later than expected, greeted by a very pleasant lady who turned out went to school with our friend who had turned up earlier that - everything was explained very clearly - from how to park and drive around the site - we settle up high on the site but there are some little nooks - if you require your own space and when not so busy would be nice and cosy - we wanted to be next to our friends and were lucky enough we could park close too them - you can not reserve a space(s) if you travel in a parties, arriving at separate times(as we did on this occasion). Toilets and wash room facilities were kept very clean at all times and all the bins are labelled well for us re-cyclers and emptied what seemed more regular than most, to which in the summer months would be an added bonus. Locally you have the Golf House Club room that offers a little bar and snack foods, nice walking distance from the site or you have the local pub in West Runton Village - offers great food and plenty of tables outside if you chose to dine outside if you have a dog. Loads of walking and lots to do, and if your not adventurous thers a beach to sit on all day... Worth a visit... we shall definitely be back again.

Perfect As Always

We had a great weekend, until we came to leave and our clutch went on our Motorhome. We managed to get over the golf course and into the entrance. The warden was very good allowing us to park by their van, so we didn't block the entrance to much. We also had to use their phone to call for help. We'd also like to thank the very nice RAC man who had come to help another. As always helpful friendly staff, that really make for a nice site, we will be back.

Perfect for my needs

The site is 15 mins walk from the village of West Runton. Immediately from the site is a superb walk up Incleboro Hill. From there you can walk to East Runton past the C and C Club site. That takes about 30 minutes. In another direction there is a 3 mile walk to Sherringham. The walk through the village to the beach takes around 30 minutes and from there you can walk along to Cromer. It's pebbly and rocky when the tide is going out but still passable. You may have guessed I'm a walker but with two dogs these details are important. The site was very busy with few pitches available but quiet. It was clean and well managed and never an issue to get a shower. The weather was fantastic so it was doubly enjoyable. The drive to Wells took almost an hour on the narrow windy coast road but worth it as the little villages are very pretty. This area is very dog friendly and there was no evidence anywhere of dog poo despite dogs being everywhere so well done dog owners! I loved this site and will definitely book again. It met my holiday needs perfectly. Thank you.

Another good holiday

Returned last Saturday after a 5 night stay here. First visit of the year but have been lots of time before. Love this site and the surrounding areas. Looking forward to returning again next year. My 17 month old daughter loved her second trip to Norfolk!
