Slightly dissapointed

This is one of our favourite sites having stayed here many times over several years. I felt after this visit I should give some input. I was concerned with the lack of customer service from the wardens this visit. Normally there is good interaction between campers and staff but this seemed to be lacking this time. In fact I didn't see many smiles.(And I appreciate that the site was full and it is late in the season) I was surprised to see that the wardens were riding about on vehicles a lot of the time. There seemed to be no adherence to speed limits on the site and this included some of the wardens at times. Do we have to wait until there is an accident before members will show some care when driving round the site. There is a rule that no one is allowed on site until 13:00, a rule that we have always followed. Vehicles were being allowed on site a lot earlier than this time and in fact when we left at 11:00 we met an outfit in the narrow lane which could have been embarrassing. That said this is a wonderful site, one of the best, so let's all make sure it stays so.

Second visit and still superb ...

This is the second time we have visited this site, previously 3 years ago, and it is just as fabulous as we remembered. Got a lovely pitch again on Fair Lady Terrace, tucked behind the play area so great for our children but had some privacy as well. Great facilities, just a couple of niggles - hot water was not so hot at times and the whole site only has 2 washing machines in total! Other than that we cannot fault this site, well kept, friendly wardens - although it would be nice to see the wardens promoting the 5mph rule on their vehicles as well, come on wardens, we appreciate you have jobs to do but one rule for all !!!! Great location - short walk into village to enjoy the Village Inn or make use of the great little shops - camping shop, village store, fishing shop, tea rooms. Or just a quick hop on the train to Sherringham and Cromer or further afield. Just one last thing in reference to previous reviews - we agree, the phone reception is minimal and we will have to take your word for it for the WIFI, but we are on holiday so who cares! .... we go 'tech free' for the length of our stay, however long that may be and that includes our children, shocking to some I know, so put down your tech, put the kettle on and read a paper or just have a snooze, the world will survive without you for a couple of weeks - guaranteed - so give it a go!!!!

20 + years of Incleboro.

We have stayed at Incleboro Fields C C site many times.Sometimes twice a year. The wardens are super and very helpful. We always have a great time. Facilities have been upgraded over the years and we only have three comments to make. WiFi is very poor, the same for Mobile phones.Standing at the top of the hill facing west, in the rain is not always a good idea!!! This site needs ***More Serviced Pitches*** There is absolutely no reason as there are many spaces near to the existing served pitches. I am sure there is no shortage of money. The booking system which allows short term weekend bookings without deposit should be a minimum of 4 days. The deposit I suggest should be non refundable. For some members who wish to book consecutive weeks this becomes impossible when all the "weekends" are taken.

Great site but not enough info'

Te repeat an earlier review I will start by saying that this is NOT a bad review. This is an excellent, if unusual, site with incredible staff and facilities. the info' about the site though does not emphase enough how hilly this site is. It does say that levelling chocks are needed but this is a massive understatement. I got more of an idea when I arrived and asked where the level pitches were. The answer was 'on another site' The first pitch we tried we could not level the caravan at all (left to right) even though we have a Milenco leveller which was at its maximum. Eventually, we found a pitch where we could level the van (just). Also, don't make the same mistake as me and drive into one of the 'terraces' as they are all dead-ends with little or no space to turn round - nightmare. Just a suggestion but it might help if the wardens could mark these cul-de-sacs as full when all the pitches have been taken. After all of this though I have to say that this is one of the best sites we have been on. Everything about it is right (except the lack of level pitches). The staff, the facilities, the situation, the location. If you had asked me, during the 4 hours it took us to pitch, would I come here again I would have given you a resounding NO but if you had asked the same question a couple of days later it would be a definite YES. Don't be put off by the unevenness of the site. Forewarned is forarmed so make sure you have enough chocks to level your van.

Lovely site well located

The site was absolutely lovely, really contributing to the happiness of our holiday. It was well located between Sheringham and Cromer, enjoyed beautiful surroundings, a good mix of accessible and secluded. I also liked the fact that there just happened to be one of the best camping and caravanning shops I’ve been to virtually outside the gate, which came in very handy when we had a problem with our water pump. The pitches were nice if you could look past the levelling challenges and I could absolutely see why people rated this place so highly. The staff were also excellent: diligent in their upkeeping and stewardship and in their general persona to guests. My only gripe with this site as with all CSs is the WiFi. In an age when even budget hotels offer wifi with a fairly respectable speed free with the room; we find it positively archaic that the only thing the CAMC can offer is an annual paid-for rate per device, and for that you get a service that stumbles over most of the time. Like with hotel rooms, I’d pay extra for a faster service in addition to a free basic one. Anyway, I’m sure if enough people raise this issue, things might improve. But as for this site, that was my only gripe and we’ll definitely come again!

Disappointed !!

I do not normally write reviews or use them as a tool for choosing a particular holiday destination..."one mans meat is", etc etc...but I did inform the warden that i would be writing a complaint to EG and maybe post a review. He was more than happy that I did so, in fact he openly wished more would complain to EG... We arrived at the site on Thursday 1st August knowing that it was at full occupancy and as we circumnavigated the mile and a quarter roadway, it became obvious that there was only a couple of pitch choices available (that we could visibly see). The first would have been impossible to site the caravan plus an awning..it would have required railway sleepers to level the jockey wheel !!. The second was literally 90 square metres of Mud !..which, due the location of the white peg meant that the 'van would be over grass and the awning (porch) would be sited over a portion (6 sq mtrs) of the mud. If we had not pre booked tickets to local events, I would have left the site. Fortunately the weather was kind to us and the mud remained dry !! Later, I discussed my disappointment with the Warden, even suggesting that the pitch should have been withdrawn, who then at length told me of his frustration with the club continually refusing his request for more hard standings/landscaping... He further mentioned that he regularly has to move the white peg so that units can straddle the mud patches..but eventually this creates a problem with the EHU bollards being out of the 25m cable range. Had we arrived a couple of days later, I would probably not be writing this review. Pitches became available which, as the warden commented, allowed units to straddle the mud patches. Speaking with some of our neighbours they too felt disappointed having to pitch over mud…will they complain ??, So if you are happy paying £30 pn (2 persons) for a pitch of mud, of which most will require mega levelling, then this is the site for you…but not for me.

Super site but tarnished by arrival experience

This is a lovely site, hilly with lots of choice of plot type (quiet , less quiet , secluded etc.) We found the facilities to be excellent for our needs and the location in the region very good for the whole of the northen Norfolk coastline. Normally I would have nothing but praise but our arrival was tarnished by the experience we had selecting a plot. We, as newcomers , did as we were asked, selected a plot , went back to the office and collected the 'key' and returned to the plot to find a caravan being set up on it. We had not left a marker apparently and therefore we had lost it despite doing as we were told to.. The neanderthal pitching his van pointed his wheel brace at me and offered to take it further - really !! Reported it to the office and would like to think they viewed it seriously enough to take it further but was not convinced by the response. Too late in the day to go elsewhere but it was offered , so we found another ( better ) pitch and tried to put the experience behind us. Must learn not to be naive and take instructions literally in future - lol In all other respects this is a fine site well worth staying at in our view.

Unusual site

what an unusual site, surrounding a golf course, very large, hilly site which has several small secluded areas amongst the trees, and a larger grass expanse towards the back, 4 amenities blocks which are all the usual club standard, clean but dated. The reception is situated at front of site so long walk adjacent to golf course from back/top of site, likewise no dog walk area until you get to the road through golf course, a small lane with dog bin to your left, most dogs going for their first morning constitutional wouldnt make it that far, likewise the off lead field is outside of the site and down a shared byway, so a good way from back of site. the good news is the local beach has partial dog access all year round. If you like the sun the large open area seems to be the best option, grass only, all the h/s seemed to be in among the trees. The site road is well over a mile long, undulating as its winds its way around the golfcourse, the kids used it as their racetrack, the playground being the finishing line as they came careering down the hill over the speedbumps. We were touring and stay 3 nights at a time, this happened to be the weekend, I would assume quieter during the week. The location of this site is brilliant being almost equidistant between Sheringham and Cromer, we walked to both via the coastpath and then back home along the beach so the dogs could have a good run, if you count getting to the towns and walking their full promenade and back, it was about 7 miles for Sheringham, and around 9 miles for Cromer. West Runton where the site is based is only a 5 minute walk, pub, small post office/basics shop and a large camping shop. Even though I dont like big sites I would use this one again for a midweek break when the kids would be in school as its location is fab, but for us its a 6 hour trip so unlikely, but if ever come this way again I would definitely stay here as its a perfect motorhome site where you dont need a car to get around

Fabulous, clean, tidy site

We stayed for a week at the beginning of July. The site is probably the largest CAMH site we’ve ever stayed on however the standards were the same. On arrival the staff were friendly and informative. The site has 4 toilet blocks that were all spotlessly clean as were the rest of the amenities. We made visits to nearby Cromer and sheringham - both journeys made on the train which is a 5 minute walk from the site - the journeys cost £3 each return and took less than 5 minutes - dogs are free. We ate and drank at the golf sports bar at the entrance to the site - all staff friendly and food adequate for what we paid. In the village of west Runton there are a couple of pubs , fantastic tearoom, small shop and also a well stocked caravan accessory shop. There are plenty of areas for dog walking and found the beaches very dog friendly just small areas at the main promenades where dogs weren’t allowed. We also visited Sutton Staithe boatyard were we hired a boat on the broads - £70 for four hours - brilliant day - dogs also allowed. The town of wroxham was a lovely day out. All in all a fab site and we will definitely return.
