Site looking tired

We arrived on the Thursday prior to good Friday, lots of hard standing pitches were full, that was no problem, we pitched on grass as we normally do. The toilet block was very tired, the sink was chipped, wooden shelf cracked, needs a complete overall, then on the Friday 2 of the 3 showers were put out of action, we had to use the newer of the 2 blocks, there were pegs missing from the showers, no where to hang your clothes, to top it all, while the workers were carrying out repairs to block 2. Block 1 was closed for cleaning. We are booked in twice more this year, if there is no change, we may change our bookings

Easter 2015

Not the best site we have stayed at, the grass on the grass pitches should really of been cut prior to the Easter weekend. The Male shower block near the children's play area had one out of three cubicles working, both toilet blocks seemed to closed for cleaning at the same time. Won't be heading back there in a hurry.

Lovely family site.

The wardens are very friendly and the site is suitable for families of all ages.  There could be a sign opposite the entrance as it is easy to miss and drive passed!!  The toilet block by the play area is a bit tired but functional.  Good location to visit Breen and nearby seaside towns.

Easter holiday

Nice site. Away for the Easter Bank Holiday. Not very good as only 3 showers in one of the men's toilet block and 2 were out of order, so had to walk to the other toilet block.  If you park near the play ground, there is a lot of noise from the adjacent caravan park and a lot of aeroplane noise at night.

Superb Site

Our very first trip in a touring caravan and couldn't have picked a better site.  We were made to feel so welcome, and the wardens were so helpful and offered reassurance and lots of help setting ourselves up on the site. Our son loved the Treasure Hunt. Spotlessly clean, lovely hot water for the showers and washing up.   Good play area for the children.   Busy site but plenty of space in between pitches. Can't wait to go back again.

A quiet site but within easy reach of seaside towns.

This was our first visit to this site and we found it met the usual high standards of a CC site. It is in a quiet location and it is an easy walk from the site to a very expansive beach area. It is also an easy car or bus ride to the seaside towns of Burnham-on-Sea or Weston-Super-Mare. The area was very quiet at the time of our visit because it was March and the weather was mediocre. However, I can well imagine that in the summer months the area would be bustling as I have never seen as many caravan and holiday home sites in one area!

Peace and quiet in March

This was our first visit to Hurn Lane. We found it quite easily and were pleasantly surprised. We had a good choice of hardstandings (The grass area was not open in mid March) We were reasonably close to the only service point, and wondered how practical this would be when the site was full. We spent a peaceful and quiet weekend, but realised that we had chosen a pitch adjacent to a large commercial holiday park, which could well have an impact at busier times. Overall we were very happy with our short weekend break and would certainly consider returning to Hurn Lane.

Berrow Beach

After a mix up with dates, we arrived and found a good clean site on level ground. The lane down to the site is a bit narrow and the sign was set back a bit thou. The beach is about 15mins walk, The Dogs loved it.
