lovely site

We were greeted after a long journey by lovely people who were very helpful, the pitch was totally level and very quiet, the whole site was calm and restful and spotlessly clean, we had a lovely couple of nights here, we will be going again.

An oasis of peace

We stayed here for a couple of nights en route between Carlisle and the Cornwall. In a part of the coast totally swamped with densely packed caravan sites Turn Lane was a spacious peaceful oasis. It was a short walk to a bus stop and not much further from the sand dunes and beach. It was just what we were looking for.

Pss as sing through

Second visit this time just a couple of nights on way to Cornwall. Great site handy for Brean, Weston and Burnham. Good local facilities within walking distance. Recommend walks along Brean down to the old fort at the end. Staff helpfully willing and friendly. Clean and tidy as usual.

Great Site.

Hurn Lane is a very pleasant site, well managed and presented (e.g. potted flowers scattered around site). The wardens are friendly and helpful (from a quick call on our way there, to ensure all was OK, as we were running late, to helpful tips for walks and ‘watering holes’). The facilities that we used were in great condition and clean. The site is fairly easy to access but the lane is narrow, so respect the arrival times! Well located for many West Country activities, including the Weston Air Show. Well served by the 20 service bus, but make sure to purchase the correct ticket (West of England Zone) if using the First Bus app. Nearby Berrow beach is lovely, huge expanses of golden sand, ideal for families. You can park on the beach at a couple of locations if the 10 min walk through the dunes is daunting. Will surely return.

Great site

I use this site often and it is a great place to go. It is near Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare but is set back in a quiet area of fields meaning there is little disturbance. It is well maintained and feels very spacious. The mix of hard standings and grass make it suitable for any weather. I gave only 4 stars to the peace and quiet because the pitches at the back of the site can be a little noisy from the adjoining campsite. This is not the fault of CAMC, and there is nothing that can be done about it, but I like to avoid the back row for this reason. Otherwise it is excellent.

Excellent Site

This is our second stay at this lovely site. Both times we’ve stayed on the newer part of the site - this time on a grass pitch. The toilet block is excellent; modern and clean. The wardens look after the site well and are very friendly. The site is flat, nicely laid out and with a variety of pitches to suit families or couples. It’s good for an overnight stay as it’s near an M5 junction or for a longer stay.

A bit disappointed

We hardly ever use CAMC sites preferring CLs. However as we were picking up the caravan from the dealer who is not far away, we elected to pay the extra for a fully serviced pitch at a cost of £33.10 for a couple for the one night. No issues with very polite and helpful warden who directed us to the fully serviced pitch area. It was then that we discovered that the bollard for the electric and water was inbetween two pitches and halfway down the pitch and we were on the offside of the bollard. To connect water an extension hose is required as there is no way that the normal 7-8m water connection will reach the connection. I guess this was the reason why some caravans were using aquarolls on fully serviced pitches with water connections. Why on earth have the bollard in the middle between two caravans? We had to run the connection hose under the caravan and if we had an awning up this may have presented us with another issue. I doubt if we will ever use this site again as have now found one not too far away where each pitch has its own independent bollard with water connection and cost less than the CAMC site.

very disappointed

After staying at this site for many years , We were very disappointed to see travellers aloud to stay on site they,re vehicles were parked on grass between pitches and even more disappointed to see under age children driving a high powered car around site all weekend around one way roads the wrong way , with children playing on site this should never be aloud to happen . We hope this is not the future of the club many other members made comments about this

Our Regional Manager is currently at Hurn Lane Club campsite and can confirm that all is well on the campsite and there is no one breaking any Club Suite rules. Very unhappy

Been coming to this site for many of years I'm very surprised that caravan Club allow travellers on the site there's two families on the site and one family allow they under age boys to joyride around the site from morning to night in a high performance bmw totally unacceptable if this is what caravan Club sites have come to then I'm going to think twice on joining again next year not Happy at all
