Nice site and well presented

Stayed here for 2 nights, in the week that the hot weather broke, delivering us a huge storm on our first night! This was our first stop of our two week holiday and was pleasantly surprised by this lovely site. For sure this area is full of caravan (both static and touring) sites, with what seemed like hundreds of mobile of homes on each. The site itself has nearly 140 pitches both grass and hardstanding, and all seemed to be mostly level. The hardstanding pitches were well maintained and the grass pitches were also in good condition. There were 2 toilet bocks, one cleaned in the morning and one in the afternoon which meant facilities were always available. Wardens were helpful on arrival, and whilst they were visible during the day, we didnt have any other reason to interact. There is a bus stop just over 5m away that will take you to Burnham or Weston, Brean is a 30m walk away where there are plenty of holiday type takeaways and bars. It was quiet during our stay, maybe because the schools had restarted after the summer break, which made our stay peaceful. Would certainly recommend this site

Rude warden

Just got back from 5 days break, I have to say I’ve never been spoken to like I was from a male warden, our 1 year old puppy had just that minute escaped from sliding under the awning which he had never done before, the warden was just walking by with his dog he very nasty said DOGS should be tethered!! I tried to explain he had just escaped but got a verbal abuse. I no it’s the rules but to be honest him walking off shouting at me made my puppy worse. Please review this caravan club. The site has gone down hill massive since we last went will not be returning. No site shop which there is room for too. Noisey site behind .

one thing missing, a site shop

Was easy to find, well organised, found the staff great, very welcoming and helpful pity there is no site shop but that's the only reason we didn't give 5 stars read other reviews and several make remarks of not being allowed on before 1300 but that's the rules and its very clear, so we arrived just after 1300 and was no issues at all, warden was very understanding to us new members and gave good advise

Summer Stay

Stayed beginning of school summer holidays never again!! Not noted in book that the noise from adjoining holiday parks are very loud! Noise till 3 am one night/day. Separated only by hedge!!!! Also wardens are rude unwelcoming, don't care that you are on holiday trying to have a nice time! It's stated as a family site, we had 2 children and felt very un welcome! Due to wardens again. Nit a family friendly site. Two nights in and we were looking to see if another local site could accommodate us fir remaining nights but they were fully booked. We have never had to do this on all our other holiday, always been very happy with our other stays.

Hurn Lane

The good. Toilets and showers very clean. The site is located adjacent to John Fowler site and play area which is very noisy so avoid the rear of the site. The dog walk area is very small. Not enough to throw a ball. Almost no info on the site of local attractions/ maps etc. Wifi no signal. Location of the site, it's 20 minutes walk down a busy lane to the main road and bus stop. The beach is a 20 minute hard trek on soft sand through the sand dunes. There is one pub/ restaurant on the beach, another walk which is full of rubbish and broken umbrellas. Very limited menu and only burgers available. Didn't see any water but avise on dangers of swimming. No shops anywhere near. You need transport from the site so taking a motorhome expect to walk a lot. WSM okay but nothing else. Has a fair for kids to you have to pay to enter. Nothing positive to say expect clean toilets/ shower/disabled facs. Can't believe people writing good reviews. Better we had stayed at home.

lovely site

We were greeted after a long journey by lovely people who were very helpful, the pitch was totally level and very quiet, the whole site was calm and restful and spotlessly clean, we had a lovely couple of nights here, we will be going again.

An oasis of peace

We stayed here for a couple of nights en route between Carlisle and the Cornwall. In a part of the coast totally swamped with densely packed caravan sites Turn Lane was a spacious peaceful oasis. It was a short walk to a bus stop and not much further from the sand dunes and beach. It was just what we were looking for.

Pss as sing through

Second visit this time just a couple of nights on way to Cornwall. Great site handy for Brean, Weston and Burnham. Good local facilities within walking distance. Recommend walks along Brean down to the old fort at the end. Staff helpfully willing and friendly. Clean and tidy as usual.

Great Site.

Hurn Lane is a very pleasant site, well managed and presented (e.g. potted flowers scattered around site). The wardens are friendly and helpful (from a quick call on our way there, to ensure all was OK, as we were running late, to helpful tips for walks and ‘watering holes’). The facilities that we used were in great condition and clean. The site is fairly easy to access but the lane is narrow, so respect the arrival times! Well located for many West Country activities, including the Weston Air Show. Well served by the 20 service bus, but make sure to purchase the correct ticket (West of England Zone) if using the First Bus app. Nearby Berrow beach is lovely, huge expanses of golden sand, ideal for families. You can park on the beach at a couple of locations if the 10 min walk through the dunes is daunting. Will surely return.

Great site

I use this site often and it is a great place to go. It is near Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare but is set back in a quiet area of fields meaning there is little disturbance. It is well maintained and feels very spacious. The mix of hard standings and grass make it suitable for any weather. I gave only 4 stars to the peace and quiet because the pitches at the back of the site can be a little noisy from the adjoining campsite. This is not the fault of CAMC, and there is nothing that can be done about it, but I like to avoid the back row for this reason. Otherwise it is excellent.
