Wonderful Variety

The site is a regular because of proximity to home for that quick break, although our last stay was 5 nights, over the Easter Holidays.  The sight is normally peaceful and quiet, except for irresponsible dog owners like the done opposite us whose dog was aggressively noisy to all and sundry that walked by!  We also had a 'hard of hearing' person next door who needed volume on his stereo.  Such is life!  This did not detract from the brilliant staff, cleanliness of the facilities, tidiness of the grounds despite the storms, and the variety of attractions from beach, to forest, to boating, to sightseeing, to shopping.  We just love this sight!

A Happy Return

Just had a 3 night break at Hunter's Moon, after a absence of some years.  Found it better than ever.  After an appalling drive there through torrential rain, the sun came out on arrival and was matched by the Wardens' warm welcome.  Facilities were all in A1 condition except we couldn't get our telly to work until the last day.   This site offers great touring and lovely walks.  Corfu, Swanage and the view over Poole Harbour from the road to Studland are musts.  We used a serviced pitch; excellent.

A Great Easter Break

I would concur with everything that Tanzy has written including the price. The caravan club need to review their pricing policy around holiday periods and stop making such substantial increases which could be construed as gross profiteering.

Easter retreat

Perfect location for the many beautiful sights in Dorset such as Lulworth Cove, Purbeck Hills, Portland Bill, Kingston Lacy all of which were great days out. Good clean facilities and polite helpful staff. Bit pricey but did not detract from a lovely long Easter weekend exploring the county

One night stay

Stayed there just one night as site is convenient for ferry which we were on early next morning. Termnal is about 20 minutes away. Site has very good facilities, clean too. We were sited on one of the outside pitches so no facilities at this pitch for waste water or fresh water. Though the site is well managed we thought that the price of the pitch high at £28.

Wonderful break

First visit to Hunters Moon and we have loved it and will be back. Wardens very friendly and helpful. Facilities spotless.  Only reason I have given Family a 3 rating is we do not have children so do not know. How very the children's play area looks great. Lovely position for walking in Wareham Forest

A Wet Visit! March 2016

We stayed for 4 nights and found the site to be of a high standard and very well laid out. Being a motorhome member we have learn't to take 'with a pinch of salt' site descriptions - most larger motorhomers don't move their vehicle once 'hooked up' therefore ease of access to places of interest is important.  This site is 2.5 miles from Wareham (where the nearest bus stop is!) reached by walking along a fairly busy road with no path - it's a bit hair raising - especially with 2 dogs.  Areas for walking are excellent - once off the road. Pathway at the rear of the camp is great - when dry!
