Excellent Site

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. Very friendly and helpful Wardens. Spotless facilities - very clean site all round and dog friendly.

August 2016 visit

This was our first visit to Hunter's Moon but our third to this area.  The site is easy to find and the facilities and areas were immaculate.  I had booked a hard standing pitch which was a little tight for our caravan, awning and car but we were fine.  Toilets and showers were beautifully clean and fresh all day and the wardens always had a friendly smile and greeting.  There is a dog walk at the back of the site through a coded gate but it wasn't too exciting. The dog walk on site is fenced in all round which gave  a great sense of security and we had a relaxing time chatting with other dog owners while our loopy puppy made friends.  The walks in Wareham Forest are fab and Wareham itself is lovely. We spent time paddling in the river or sitting outside The Granary enjoying lunch and the views of the river.  We were blessed with hot dry weather and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wi-Fi

We found the wardens were excellent and very helpful. The Wi-Fi was very poor and not worth the money. The Caravan Club should advertise the strength of the signal on the booking page and not have to look for the information on the website. Rodney Wyatt.

One night stay

We stayed here one night on route to Poole for our ferry crossing so did not make use of the facilities.  The reception staff were very helpful in directing us to the local pup for food. Our pitch was not that quiet as we could here the main road but for one night it was fine.

Very enjoyable visit

Firstly I have to say that I met with the most wonderful, patient and helpful warden, who couldn't do enough for me to sort out my bookings at other sights for the next part of our 16nt tour. I/we would like to thank the lovely Jo for all she did to help and wish her well in her next adventure.... The site is well laid out with all hard standing pitches together and grass pitches together and even a well laid out area for tent. Two spotless toilet blocks. Great site for touring Dorset and the Jurassic coast. A visit to monkey world not to be missed....

Not the usual CC high standard

We used this as a one night stop over for the port at Poole.  The lady warden was rather direct and abrupt on arrival. We were placed on pitch 7, right by the site entrance which wasn't ideal for our two children. The pitch was also adjacent a busy road, so the occasional night time traffic kept waking us up throughout the night. Not ideal when we had an early ferry to catch!!! The pitches looked tired with weeds growing out of the hard standings and the edgings being rather over grown in areas. Really not up to caravan clubs usual high standards.  The toilets were immaculate and the information centre excellent though.  Wareham is a lovely village and the site is ideally placed for the ferry port.  This site simply isn't worth the cost and does bring the worth of my membership.

Good site and central

Lovely site, only problem was one night the MOD were on manoeuvres firing big guns till 10 PM which unnerved children staying in the awning. Not the sites fault. but at least you now know.
