First time in our VW camper

Many thanks to the very helpful wardens as this was our first time out in our campervan after years of camping. The site was perfect in every way, cleanliness, great pitches and excellent location to see the wonders of Dorset.

Hunters Moon Autumn Break

All very good. Friendly , helpful staff. Good position. All exceptionally clean and tidy. Local pub very good, but would not recommend walking down the road to it , not safe and footpath from site not good especially in the dark. Would go back. Very little noise from road or forest.

Site was very easy to set up on . Staff were extreamly helpful, even came out to check up on us ! Very clean site , particularly the toilets and showers. spotless . A credit to them . No fault with anything . More than happy to return. Unable to comment on wi-fi reception as did not use it.

Great Site

We stayed at this site for 4 nights for the first time a week ago, we found a lovely well kept site with friendly staff and excellent facilities in an excellent location to explore Dorset, we are looking forward to a return visit.

A lovely site but not the neighbours

we spent 2 weeks at Hunters Moon in September but chose the wrong part of the site because from our pitch (15) we had constant dogs barking, kids screaming, women shouting and swearing, a shotgun fired (once from just over the fence), a party which lasted Sat night with the disco returning at 7am Sunday, girls screaming in the early hours and lads shouting.......a lovely site immaculately kept but if you pitch in the wrong corner its all spoilt by the permanent travellers site next door. The worst thing by far was the 24 hour smoke & smells from their burning which on 1 night, very warm so we left the roof vents open, set off our smoke alarm! Passing the site when we left we saw the mountains of scrap metal in there. If we return we will make sure we get a pitch on the other side of the site! but do have to say the site is in a good position for exploring all the Dorset attractions.

Over the Moon

We stayed here for 5 nights in late September and were presented with an attractive site with the usual cc facilities and up to the standard we have come to expect of this club. I had a problem receiving any t.v. via my mains lead purchased only a couple of years ago at another site, however great that one of the wardens spent 15 minutes testing the aerial point, my lead and a replacement lead to confirm that i needed to then buy another one which I was happy to do, note to self...don't fold the lead tightly but loop it loosely in storage. Close to lots of attractions with minimal driving and if you've never been to this part of the country Lulworth Cove, Corfe Castle, Swanage and Studland are all worth a visit.

Beautiful site

Just had the best week here with our 3 year old grandson and our 2 dogs. I think we had the best pitch on the site (82), we were very fortunate to still have a week of sunshine and the sun was on the pitch virtually all of the day. The site is perfectly positioned to explore the area from all directions and without having to travel too far. The site itself was as usual very clean and up to cc standards, my grandson especially enjoyed his 'own' bathroom. The play park is excellent as is the very large dog field, (only let down by some individuals that had not picked up behind their dogs) despite having 2 bins and someone had provided bags! The staff here are really friendly and made us very welcome (lovely pastries on Saturday morning) the site is a credit to them. Will be back.

Hunters moon

Didn't start to great! Pitch 12 required 14 meters of hose for water supply. Had to go off site to buy more hose. Waste pipe not long enough but site staff supplied a length to do the job. Dog walk better than some but I used the foot path through the gate at the back of site. Turn left after gate and you'll walk for about a mile before you see anything, turn right cross a busy road go through another site and you'll be greeted with stunning views (worth the effort). Site perfectly located for Tourist locations like Lulworth cove and Studland bay. As a base to explore from Hunters moon is perfect. Clean, tidy with happy staff! Thanks for a great long weekend!

Peaceful September holiday

Another great week at Hunters Moon. The site is an excellent location for visiting the Isle of Purbeck and its wildlife, which is what we go there for. It is quiet, spacious and has very clean facilities. We will be coming here again.

Hunters Moon

We have stayed at the Hunters Moon Caravan Club Site in the past. As before we have found this site to by most enjoyable. We used a service pitch which makes the stay even better. With plenty to do in the area and dining at the Silent Woman made for a good week. We will be visiting this site again.
