This is the second stay of the season and it’s great to see the little changes that continue to be made by Helen & Neil to improve the site and its ambience. They are fully committed to the site and the enjoyment of those staying. It has once again become a tranquil site to escape life’s pressure for a few days. We will look to return again later in the year in fact I cant wait to see Helen & Neil again and what further improvements they have. They and the site are fantastic. I can I just add that part of what makes this site work is that it is a no facility site. Long may it stay so. In my opinion the club do not need to invest in installing facilities - it works well as it!!!
Excellent site
We decided to book a last minute night here even though we only live 50 minutes away. The site was exactly what we were looking for - peaceful location and great walks from site. We had a small problem whilst there as the caravan near us was unattended and the alarm was going off inside but the warden sorted it out very quickly. Both wardens were really friendly and approachable. The site is immaculate and the walking nearby is superb.
Delightful stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. With the warm welcome on arrival, and the friendly and easy-going manner of the wardens, we felt at home. Surroundings are very pretty, the site is very well kept, and there is easy access to Hebden Bridge and environs, whether on foot or by the handy bus outside the site. We will definitely return!
Lovely Peaceful Site
Had a lovely few nights at this gem of a site, quiet peaceful , but lots to do and see locally, good for dog walks from the site , and local buses and trains within a few minutes walk . Hope to return soon, thank you to the lovely wardens , your doing a grand job !!
Lovely!
As soon as we arrived, I immediately liked this site. On arrival, we were welcomed by fantastic friendly wardens who gave us the usual arrivals chat then sent us away to choose our pitch. Within seconds of pitching, the warden came around and said there's no need to report back with your pitch number, we've noted it down after seeing where you've parked. The site itself is highly maintained to within an inch of its life. It felt intimate with only having 42 pitches and had a warmth to it, peaceful in the most and in beautiful surroundings. The motorhome service point and water/waste/bins /elsan point were very easily accessible and very clean. 15 min walk into Mytholmroyd then 3 mins train into Hebden Bridge. 40 minute walk from site along canal into Hebden Bridge. We also noticed for future reference that Cragg Rd on which the site is, is serviced regularly by the 901/901A bus to and from Hebden Bridge. Overall, public transport links were frequent and plentiful, you could easily visit many places from here via public transport. Hebden Bridge itself, mostly eating and drinking establishments and independent shops. If you have a dog, you will not be disappointed as there are many walks from the site. We would highly recommend this site and will visit again.

Peaceful site
Stayed here last week for the first time, site was well maintained and wardens friendly. The pitches are a good size and certainly on the fully serviced pitch level and no need for blocks.Waste and rubbish disposal was easily accessible and cleaned every day.Hebden Bridge only ten minutes away and worth the visit, plenty of places to eat and shop.A bit further afield,Hollingsworth Lake is a good place to while away an hour or so with plenty of spaces for motorhomes(no height restrictions) only £4 all day, cafe on site does a good breakfast.Would visit again.
A gem of a site
Helen and Neil, the wardens, couldn't have been more helpful and are a real asset to this site. The weather wasn't wonderful and road works on the way into Hebden Bridge meant that walking in along the canal was the best option. HB is very dog friendly and full of coffee shops and eateries. If you like quirky, we found Leila's kitchen for lunch and Mooch Coffee bar, both of which we rated.
The Shoulder of Mutton made us welcome, again allowing dog, and although we walked most of the way, some fellow campers felt sorry for us in the pouring rain and gave us a lift back.
Hardcastle Craggs NT is well worth it if you like walking. If you're in a Motorhome, make sure you park at Midgehole Car Park and there is an upper level with plenty of room. Just wasn't well signposted.
A trip to Saltaire on the way home made for a perfect break.

Superbly kept site
Stayed for a week in early June in a caravan on a serviced pitch.
The site is kept very well, everywhere is kept very clean and tidy, with well kept lawns and planting.
The size of the site is definitely in its favour, a nice small quiet site, we were there when it was full, and was still peaceful.
No toilet block, but it was not a problem, especially with a serviced pitch. It's a short walk into the village, with pubs, takeaways and shops. We tried three of the local pubs, Robin Hood, Shoulder of Mutton and The Dusty Miller, all had a good choice of beer, all do food and are dog friendly. We ate in the Dusty Miller, and the food was good.
Plenty of walks in the area and plenty of hills! A nice walk into Hebden Bridge mainly along the canal, about 45/50 minutes. Plenty of places to eat and drink in Hebden Bridge when you get there.
Loads to do and see in the area and would definitely consider using the site again if we are in the area again.
One of our favourite sites again!
This has been one of our go to sites for many years - it used to be Lower Cough Foot - being close to home and in a wonderful setting yet close to amenities. Over the last couple of years the site hasn’t quite felt the same but the introduction of Helen & Neil as wardens from the start of the new season has made a great difference to the feel of the site and it once again has that happy feeling from the moment you arrive and the greeting you receive from them. They are hard at work - despite the weather - improving the site and I hope they stay for many seasons to come. We will be returning on a more regular basis again into the season and beyond
A lovely site
We live locally and stayed for just over 2 weeks, whilst work was done on our house.
I couldn’t have picked a better spot. The site is in a great location with activities and places of interest within easy reach to suit everyone. It’s beautifully maintained by the friendly wardens, who are busy all day long keeping everything spic and span. So peaceful and quiet at night, you can hear owls hooting in the trees.
Easy walking direct from the site into Mytholmroyd, and along the river or canal to Hebden Bridge where there are lovely independent shops, an old fashioned cinema, and plenty of places to eat.
Highly recommend!
