Lovely, compact site

This is a lovely small site with a very central shower block area. Very easy to get to Corfe Castle, Swanage and Studland Bay. Our only criticism is that it's the only Caravan Club site we've ever been to where we've had to queue 2 days out of 4 to use a shower in the morning because there are only 3 shower cubicles each in the ladies and gents. There are 4 washbasin cubicles but these were never fully used. When we visited in October the grassy pitches weren't in use so in the summer this problem must be much worse.

A peaceful place

We had a lovely stay for two nights. The peace and quiet disturbed only by the occasional whistling of the train approaching on the nearby Swanage Railway - heaven! A ten minute wander to the station and a whole day spent traveling up and down, visiting Corfe Castle, and then at the other end of the line, Swanage. Great people running the site, too.

Great Site

Seems since some of the earlier reviews the facilities have been refurbished, great showers, soft water and hot water at the sinks. Freshly tiled walls and paintwork. As others have said 5 minute walk to the station and trips to corfe and swanage. Buy tickets at the site for a discount.

ONE OF OUR FAVOURITE SITES

Very well kept site with the wardens among the best that we have encountered. Interesting site set on several levels with lovely views.Very friendly helpful staff who are very knowledgeable about the area.  The steam railway 5 minute walk away so easy access to Swanage and the surrounding area. Will without a doubt return to this site in the near future.

A lovely site

We enjoyed our stay very much. The site is very convenient for exploring the Isle of Purbeck and the wardens Trevor and Claire were extremely helpful and friendly. We recommend this site.

Nice Break!

Had booked this wonderful site for 21 nights in September, unfortunately we only managed 9 nights due to a trip on Brownsea Island meaning a broken elbow (and wrist discovered when returned home). Healing well although now in plaster! We did see 5 red squirrels so the day was worthwhile despite the injury. Beautiful area, fantastic walking, lovely beaches, nice places to eat and the added bonus of steam trains. Thank you to all of the members that offered help and were kind to Sue following her injury particularly Andrew, Jane and Benson and the wardens Trevor and Claire for their help, kindness and hard work. We will hopefully see you all next September for a less eventful holiday.

Not worth the money

Pitches different sizes. Toilet seats loose. And last night 01/10/2016 There was a campervan and a caravan plugged into the same mains socket on the bollard, Also a visitors car parked on the pitch as well. I thought that this was really taking the mickey out of the rest of us. I would have thought that a member of the club should know better.

Brilliant!

Just returned from our second visit this year to Haycraft, as usual the site and facilities were spotless. The wardens work very hard and take their jobs seriously, they are always willing to help anyone. Well done Trevor and Claire. Unlike the previous review, we shall God willing, definitely be back.

Muddy

After two nights on an extremely muddy pitch (in fact a bog), our holiday much improved once we were reluctantly offered a hard standing pitch. Not up to the normally high standards of the Caravan Club – will not be stopping there again.
