We stayed here for 10days in August and enjoyed the quiet and relaxing location. Access to and from pitches in some terraces could be a bit tight but with care and cooperation of neighbours this is no problem.
A good area for walking and exploring the magnificent scenery of this part of Wales as well as access to the interesting coast.
TV reception might be an issue for some people.
Peace and Tranquil site
We found this site easily and quickly settled into the lovely peace and tranquility which it offered. The wardens were friendly and very helpful, especially when we had an electric problem which they tried to sort out for us. The views from our pitch was amazing to wake up to. The site is a bit hilly and steep in places but this is not an issue if you are a seasoned caravanner... I would not recommend this site to families as there is no wifi and I know how the youth of today can't live without it! We visited the local castles and abbey ruins. The nearest supermarket (Co-Op) is only approx 20 mins drive away. We will definately be returning once our caravan issue is fixed.
Lovely, well kept small site for the price of a CL
We were very pleasantly surprised on arrival. The site is beautifully kept, the pitches on the terraces a good size and pretty level. The motorhome service area is easily accessible. The wardens were friendly and helpful. Great for what we used it for - an overnight stay. Good value too, we have paid more to stay at CLs that were much less welcoming and attractive.

Relaxing break in the country
Loved it. Helpful and hard working Wardens kept the site manicured and clean. TV reception is poor but we managed to get a clear view for our satellite dish so were unaffected. Lovely area with walks and drives to enjoy. Highly recommended if this is the sort of relaxing holiday you like. We did!
Loved it
Wardens more than helpful, the site kept to it's natural state to compete with the natural setting of the area.

Disappointing
This is a very hilly site, hopeless for our old dog! Quite a lot of noise from the road. Reception for everything was diabolical, only 2 tele channels and no phone! Caravan club should provide free wifi on sites like this! No good walking from site, one footpath was completely missing. The site manager told our old dog off for having a wee, very miserable, unfortunately she can't go far without having to go to the toilet (we always clear up anyway) she is about 100 years old in our age, they should remember we are there on holiday and don't need to be reprimanded for something we cannot control! Will definitely not be going again!

The Quiet Site
Lovely peaceful site, good walks and central for visiting various places, coastal and inland. Wardens were friendly and welcoming. The new pitches are the ones to choose if you are able to, some pitches are on the small size, some are under trees and can be quite dark. We were on pitch 29 which got very messy after heavy rain, it could do with a good thick layer of stone on it. Apart from that we enjoyed the site and would return!
Visiting again.....
Once again we visited this site. We have been coming here off and on since 2000. Wardens are friendly and helpful. Site is very basic (which suits us) and pitches are well spaced. Site is very steep but most of the pitches are fairly level. Only rated 2* on facs & cleanliness because of the lack of toilets etc. The site is very clean. If you want good tv, radio and wifi don't come here. We love the fact we can get away from everything. Will be coming back again.
Pretty location
We stayed here for 2 weeks recently and really enjoyed the pretty location, which is set in beautiful countryside, on the side of a steep hill. Pitches were large and spacious and we had a lovely view through the trees. The wardens were friendly and helpful at all times. It was a shock to find that it was analogue TV, although this is stated in the brochure and there was little mobile signal. But we missed having any radio signal/channels, so be prepared and come with lots of CD's and DVD's. If you are able and prepared to drive fairly long distances, there is so much to see which is truly wonderful. We visited a forestry commission area which feeds red kites daily and at another location saw ospreys on the nest, a real treat. There is a very pretty seaside town at Aberdovey with a lovely sandy beach and nice sea, an added bonus on sunny days. We drove up to Port Meirion and Snowdonia. I particularly like the Elan Valley, which is so lovely and an idea base for walking and cycling for families. One thing we really noticed was the fact that the roads in mid Wales were so quiet and in a superb state, such a contrast to those at home.
This is a site that we would love to visit again, if TV/Wi-fi and radio access were improved. For those who are less mobile, it might be a difficult site to negotiate, both on foot and with a caravan or motorhome. But, it was so nice to have a site with separate little areas of interest and not have the regimented feel of most caravan club sites. This made it feel very special.
A real treasure
This site is for those who like peace, nature and countryside. The site is steep but the pitches were mainly level. The wardens are very friendly indeed. We loved the place and didn't miss the loos and shower block even after five days. What we did miss was wifi but found places to go with good wifi. Met friendly people and if we come back this way, we would stay here very happily.
